About your ExpertKevin has over 22 years experience of townplanning, the vast majority of which has beenspent in London. In addition to extensiveconsultancy experience, he worked forWestminster City Council for over 10 years.

Prior to joining Lambert Smith Hampton Kevin worked forAtkins where he managed a variety of projects, ranging fromsub-regional studies to physical regeneration strategies.Kevin provides strategy, process, development plan policy,planning appraisal, appeal and application advice to publicand private sector clients.Kevin is an RTPI Assessor for the Assessment of ProfessionalCompetence. He has also been a Member of the UrbanDesign Group since 1988.He is currently leading Lambert Smith Hampton’s townplanning team advising on aspects of town planning relatingto the custodial estate of the Ministry of Justice. Projectsinclude securing residential consent on surplus land prior todisposal, providing listed building advice, development planmonitoring and advising on changes to the planning system

including the loss of Crown immunity. He is currentlyadvising on the expansion of the prison estate through thesubmission of more than 20 planning applications and overthe past two years has been involved in securing over 7,500new prison places since 2006.
