Principles of Responsible Management (PRM)
PROGRAM OUTLINE - PRINCIPLES OF RESPONSIBLE MANAGEMENT
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES
This program begins with the premise that in the current global environment, businesses and managers have much to gain from implementing practices that respect the principles of responsible management. Through an overview of the latest developments in the field of research in businesses and management, the program offers students the knowledge, tools, skills and self-analysis capability needed to become responsible managers in modern organizations.
THERE ARE TWO MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THIS PROGRAM
1. Describe and illustrate three important concepts in line with the principles of responsible management: - Sustainability - Responsibility - Ethics 2. Demonstrate how the principles of responsible management can and should be implemented in the day-to-day activities of a manager: - Planning - Organizing - Leading - Controlling
Using case studies, company visits and guest speakers, students will be able to see how businesses of all size and scope are integrating responsible management principles to ensure their success.
THE GLOBAL MINDSET INVENTORY (GMI)
The GMI is a professional assessment tool used by over 30,000 people worldwide and is designed to help managers learn how to communicate with, do business with, and influence people from dissimilar cultural, social, political, and institutional backgrounds. The GMI consists of an online evaluation completed by you before arriving. Once in Québec, you will receive your personalized dossier of results, followed by a feedback and analysis session led by an accredited GMI trainer.
