Principal’s Message
Students participating in the ANZAC Day March on Thursday 25 April (week 2 of the school holidays) need to
arrive at the Paddy Bugden VC Memorial in Bugden Ave by 9.20am. The March will commence at 9.30am and
then proceed to Elizabeth Ann Brown Park for the civic service which will begin at 10.00am. Students need to
wear school uniform including a broad brim hat. Staff will be attending to help with supervision.

PSSA School knockout
Congratulations to the school soccer team for their outstanding win against Tregeagle last Friday. The boys
demonstrated sportsmanship throughout the entire match. Thank you to Mr Johnson in managing the team
and to the parents and wider community for your attendance in supporting the team. Finally, thank you to the
high school students in officiating the match.
Term 1 – Week 10 4 April 2019
ANZAC Assembly Wednesday 10 April
Parents and the wider community are invited to attend afternoon tea at 1.45pm followed by our ANZAC
assembly commencing at 2.30pm on Wednesday 10 April. The school choir will be performing during the
ceremony.
Easter Fete Thursday 11 April
A hat parade will be held at 9.30am followed by the announcement of the winners from the egg decorating
competition. The fete will commence at 12.30pm. The year 6 students are busy organising this event with
some new stalls operating this year. The day culminates with the whole school Easter egg hunt. Parents and
carers are welcome.
The students would like to request donations of Easter eggs and small items such as stickers and small toys
that are suitable for prizes at the various stalls. All donations may be left at the office. Thank you for your
support.
NSWPSSA State Swimming
All the best to Beau who will be travelling to Sydney next week to participate in the state swimming titles.

Canteen Orientation Day
Joan and Ashleigh would like to invite the new and existing parents and grandparents of Rous Public to a
Canteen Orientation morning at the school.
This will be a great opportunity to learn how to run the canteens on Fridays.
It will be held in the canteen on Tuesday the 30th April at 9:30am.
We will provide morning tea and this is also a great opportunity to meet new parents.
