Bunnings BBQ thank you to parent helpers Our Bunnings BBQ, held Sunday 3 November, was an outstanding success for our school with constant sales throughout the day ensuring our profit was better than the average sales usually taken. Thank you to the Bennett family for their generous donation of the sausages and bread to ensure mostly the sales resulted in a profit of $2,400. Also thank you to Mrs Craig, Mrs Smith and our parent helpers for donating your time to cook and sell sausages and drinks during the day. This superb result was truly a collaborative effort all round. Digitech Conference Our school endeavours to provide breadth and depth in our curriculum, including enrichment experiences in areas of student passion and interest. Last Friday a group of FHPS students attended the student Digitech conference, held at Carrum Primary School. Our school was one of three who presented on the day. Our students shared a coding program they had designed for viewing by the large audience. They also ran a workshop for other students, keen to learn how to code drones. Our students were articulate, engaging and knowledgeable about their designs and coding programs. Congratulations all round for showcasing our Digital and Design Technologies across our network of schools. Transition Programs for Preps and Year 6s Approaching the end of the year, our new Preps for 2020 have commenced their transition program with us and our Year 6 students have been engaging in their transition programs with local secondary schools. These stages of development are exciting and signal the maturity of the youngsters coming to Primary School and the eldest students graduating to the secondary sector. I wish all a successful and seamless transition into school life for both cohorts. Sibling Enrolments for Prep 2021 We are collecting enrolment forms from our sibling families who will have a prep starting in 2021. This is to enable 1st preference to our current families before we open up enrolments at the beginning of next year for families in the local zone. Please see Krystal if you need to collect an enrolment form to secure your child’s Prep 2021 position. Families Leaving If your child will be leaving FHPS at the end of the year, please contact Krystal in the Office as an administrative transfer is required from school to school. Thank you. I hope all families have a wonderful weekend. Kind Regards, Mrs Clark Principal Frankston Heights Primary School

Jump Rope for Heart kicks off again this term! Jump Rope for Heart is a fantastic physical activity and fundraising program that has been run by the Heart Foundation for over 35 years. It’s a great way for your child to keep fit and learn new skills, but it also helps raise funds for vital heart research and education programs. Since Jump Rope for Heart started in 1983, schools like ours have raised more than $75 million for the Heart Foundation’s lifesaving work. It’s important you register your child online, so they can receive the full benefits of the program and participate in online fundraising, simply follow the link below to get started. www.jumprope.org.au/parents Students will be skipping throughout the term in PE lessons and during our lunch break, during this time you can share their online fundraising page with family and friends to help raise money for this great cause. We will hold our school Jump off Day on 29
th of November, this will mark the
end of the program and is a chance for everyone to come together to skip and show off their newly learned skills. Our DW Music Concert, a fundraising disco & a special lunch will also be held on this fun-filled day—more details to be sent home in the coming weeks. Last year we raised over $2000! This year our goal is $5000! Let’s get skipping F.H.P.S and save lives together!!
