School Community Newsletter Newsletter No. 3 Term 2, 2019 06 June 2019 PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE What a wild and woolly day! I think the Pre-Primary, Kindy and Year 1 song of “It’s Raining, It’s Pouring” rhyme we did on Tuesday might have gotten the message that we need rain at Cascade. We even made rain drops and hung them from the parachute. Friday the 14th June 2019, the WATOTO Children’s Choir will be at Cascade Community Hall to do a performance for Cascade and Munglinup Schools. I wish to extend the invitation to our community to come along and have a look. It starts at 10:00am until 10:45am then all of the students will be going to morning tea. After morning tea, the students will be doing a variety of activities for the rest of the day. This is a fantastic experience for your students to participate in mixing with students from another country. We are experiencing a number of students being sick this week. Thank you to the parents who are keeping their children at home. The Flu and Gastro bugs have finally hit Cascade, so if your child has a headache or runny nose plus coughing all of the time, please keep them home. We are now half way through the term and we are getting busy here at school. The teachers are busy writing reports. The reports will be going home on the 28th June before I have to go on camp with the years 4, 5 & 6 for the week. Our School Assembly is on Tuesday 25th in the afternoon from 2:15pm onwards. Once again the classrooms will be open to parents and carers to have a look at their child/children’s work. Another date for your social diaries is the community meeting to be held on the 27th June from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and everyone is welcome. This meeting is bringing all the information together that the School Community and Students have been working on with Mr Brett Kipling. Once we all agree on the community/school values, we can work together to set a new Vision for the school using the values. PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

What a wild and woolly day!

The Pre-Primary and Year Ones do Cosmic Yoga to help with their mental well-being and it is also great exercise.

They enjoy doing the exercises in the classroom and are very good

at following instructions.
