MORENO VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT – BEAR VALLEY ELEMENTARYFocus District

1. One band growth for every student each year2. One CELDT level for EL students3. Maintenance of advanced proficiency for higher performing students

Alignment ALL Programs (curricular areas), Practices (strategies), Procedures and Policies (site/district) are aligned to ensure district-wide goal is met by implementing research-based instructional strategies (DII and SDAIE) in order to achieve mastery of grade-level state standards.

FOCUS OF WALK-THROUGHS 1. When planning as a grade-level, teachers will ensure their Classroom

environment has a mirrored Daily schedule, to ensure EL time, UA time, Intervention time is met within the school day.

2. Teachers are continuously planning/ creating/ reflecting on learning environment such as LA and Math Focus walls. Students use Focus walls as visual support/ reference to master academic vocabulary. Teachers have posted power standards/ objectives to confirm what is being taught and why, with daily activities of small groups, centers, and differentiated instruction supporting the daily objectives.

3. Teacher planning is reflected by the use of technology, Smart board lessons, organizational templates, and engaging best teaching strategies to promote student achievement

Check and Monitor scope and sequence/ Look for DII Lessons 1. Are teachers aligned with scope and sequence, (administrator to
