SHIP HIGHLIGHTS

From the spectacular Atrium — now over 50% larger than Princess Cruises’ other ships’ Atriums and featuring exciting new eateries — to materials and finishes specifically chosen to reflect the warmth and sophistication that’s synonymous with Princess Cruises, to exciting new venues like the SeaWalkSM — a glass-bottom walkway extending 28 feet beyond the edge of the ship and 128 feet above the ocean, Royal Princess and Regal Princess are sure to impress. Whether you want a romantic, intimate space or a lively experience with new friends, these new ships have everything you need to escape completely.

ThE SanCTuaRyLeave stress at the door when you enter The Sanctuary, a blissful signature haven just for adults. This sought after oasis of tranquility features private cabanas with refrigerators and flat-screen TVs — exclusively on Royal/Regal Princess. Simply reserve one of these new cabanas for your own personal dose of relaxation as Serenity Stewards serve you spa fare and refreshing drinks.

Royal Princess Atrium

Fantastic Royal Princess: Wow - what a beautiful ship - she really did live up to our expectations. We have sailed previously with Cunard, P&O, Celebrity and Princess, and we do enjoy going on new ships. From the minute you step on board you are made to feel so welcome. The staff were some of the best we have experienced. Review submitted at cruise.co.uk by: Pollock, Bromsgrove on 23rd Sep 2013

A Well Designed, Luxurious Princess: We cruised on Royal Princess in June 2013- one of her pre inaugural cruises to Guernsey. We have cruised with Princess before and were interested to see if the new ship had many changes. Our favourite restaurant was Concerto where the staff were very eager to please but things were a bit slow due to them ‘learning their way around’.The food and presentation was sublime.Review submitted at cruise.co.uk by: Swann, Walsall on 28th Jun 2013

Hannah thought...

Read more of my review at: hannahsharbours.blogspot.co.uk

Let’s start with the Piazza, the atrium that Princess have made

much larger than usual so that it has become a ‘usable’ space,

one overlooked by three levels where guests can sit and enjoy a drink while watching a performance. It is beautiful by anyone’s standards and I defy anyone to say otherwise! This area is a real asset to the ship. Next, The Sanctuary. As I mentioned in an earlier post, probably my favourite area on the ship, for adults only. Peaceful, luxurious, and understated elegance - what more could you ask for? A place to unwind and relax, recharge our inner batteries…

7 GREAT REASONS TO CRUISE WITH PRINCESS CRUISES:

The Scantuary

ROYAL PRINCESS IS HERE!

REGAL PRINCESS ISARRIVING IN 2014

1. Warm, welcoming service: Just unpack and let Princess handle the rest. That's their goal as The Consummate Host® — to make you feel content and comfortable starting the minute you set foot on board.

2. The best itineraries: As cruise destination experts, Princess Cruises’ experience and meticulous planning have earned them "Best Cruise Line Itineraries" for seven years running in a survey of travel agents for Recommend magazine. Cruise with Princess and you can be sure to experience the best of each region you visit, no matter which of the 100+ itineraries to more than 300 ports you choose.

3. A relaxed, rejuvenating retreat at sea: Princess’ primary goal is for you to escape completely®. That's why you'll find every detail — from the friendly stateroom steward who greets you by name to the comfortably elegant venues that range from lively to intimate — is designed with your relaxation in mind.

4. Delicious, fresh food: Princess Cruises take dining seriously because they know how important it is to your cruise experience. Every sauce is made from scratch, breads and pastries are baked fresh throughout the day, and chefs use local products to create dishes inspired by the region you're visiting.

5. Exclusive amenities: Only on Princess can you enjoy evenings spent watching Movies Under the Stars®, with complimentary blankets and popcorn. Meet friends for a small bite, wine by the glass and enjoy street performer-style entertainment in the Piazza. Or spend a few hours of tranquillity in The Sanctuary — a retreat just for adults where you can enjoy a massage, signature drinks and snacks or the spectacular sea views from your plush lounge chair.

6. Stretch your spending money: Compared to a land based holiday, a cruise with Princess provides great value for money. Your fare not only includes the comfortable accommodations of your well-appointed stateroom, but also many fresh dining options, dazzling entertainment and access to health and wellness facilities.

7. The experts love Princess Cruises: Having sailed for more than 40 years, all officers and crew are intimately familiar with the ports you'll visit. But don't just take their word for it — Princess are continually being honoured by the industry for carefully planned itineraries, spectacular ships, and the way they make everyone, of every age, feel relaxed and happy when on board.

Our cabin was perfect and we had chosen a balcony which I am so glad we did as there is nothing better than waking up every morning to

the blue calm seas and looking out from your cosy bed to the ocean waves. The food was excellent as was the service in the restaurant, we chose fixed dining which suited us well as we like to eat early and our companions at dinner were friendly and interesting. The cabin steward was very polite and helpful and a lovely person to boot. We found we had plenty to entertain us both day and evening...

The multi-course menu is specially created by the chef, and is not offered anywhere else on the ship. The fare might include anything from a focus on regional cuisine to a showcase of indigenous ingredients from a recent port. Each course is accompanied by a detailed explanation of special features, preparation methods, and tasting suggestions. Specially selected wines complement the meal. During the dessert course, the chef rejoins the group at their private table to participate in a discussion about the evening's meal, answer questions, and share culinary secrets perfected during many years of experience at sea and on land.

There's even an open-air viewing platform to take the perfect photo opportunity.

When is the best time of year to visit Alaska? You can’t go wrong visiting Alaska anytime between May and September. The days are long & nature is in full bloom. Peak season is mid-June to mid-August.

What clothing would I take when going to Alaska? You’ll want comfortable clothes and good walking shoes, and the ability to be layered for everything from sunny afternoons to chilly nights. As the weather can be unpredictable, a warm jacket is advisable.

When is the best time to see wildlife?Early June there is more wildlife viewing as young are born, and migrating to better feeding areas in the summer. If you are interested in seeing other wildlife such as Moose, Dall sheep, Arctic Fox, mountain goats and bears, try to

extend your stay to include a few nights in Anchorage or Denali National Park. Whales can usually be seen June through September. You may see Humpback, Orcas, Sea Otters, Beavers, Dolphin & Porpoises.

What is mobile phone/wireless signal like?Given the areas through which you will be travelling, wireless reception may be limited or in some cases, non-existent.

Which side of the ship is best for viewing glaciers? When cruising the Inside Passage, there is scenery on both sides of the ship and when you are entering the fjords in Alaska, the viewing will be equally good from both sides of the ship over the duration of your cruise vacation.
