Speed is essential in the life of asnowboarder, and you don’t wantto lose it. To make the most ofyour speed, move in a straightline instead of cutting back andforth, which only slows you down.

Getting a good start out of thestarting box is key to succeeding.If you’re too slow off the start,the competition will be hard orimpossible to catch later. To prevent this, use the left analogstick to rock your character backand forth as the timer ticks down.Time the rocking so it coincideswith the countdown. When you’reable to go, you already have thatforward momentum.

Use the boost to get some extraspeed (press p), or press andhold u. Your character crouches,creating less wind resistance. Becareful when you let go of thebutton, because that causes youto jump. Release the u button atthe very top of jumps and hills toget more hang time.

For lots of points, perform lots ofcombos. Build up your speed, hit anice kicker to get some air, andhave at it. String multiple trickstogether in one jump to get maxi-mum points. Also, link tricks andcombos together by doing flatlandtricks such as the board press (8 or 2 on the right analog stick).Rotate the right analog stick whilein a board press to do 360s.

Press forward on the analog stickor the D-pad to tuck forward forsome extra speed. Whencrouched, this technique alsoprepares the boarder for forwardflips while flying through the air.Pressing up or down gets yourboarder ready for flips.

RIDER BIO:Mac is always first on the parks andpipes each morning and the last to packit in at the end of the day. The new SSXCircuit sees an older, more mature andconfident Mac Fraser. Mixing his passionfor music and riding has given Mac aconstant groove and positive vibe thatdraws others to him. Some would say he is unaware or ambivalent of mostthings around him—in actuality it'smore accurate to say that he is highlyselective of what he wants or cares toacknowledge. Mac's quiet confidencealmost guarantees him a season-longspot up on the podium.

R&B is a good slope for warmingup to the snow. But this is nobunny hill. It has plenty of railsand fallen trees on which togrind. And you'd better not beafraid of flying, because you aregoing to catch some major air forsome wicked tricks.

Try to get a good jump off the line, or youmight take a blow from the competition.For some quick trick opportunities, steer tothe right side of the slope. That green railahead is exactly what you need to get somequick points on the board and stay ahead ofthe competition.

Grind the rail, then jump when you get to theend. Use that air to do some tricks. Afterreleasing the jump button, try doing a Backflip(press down on the D-pad) or a FS, Frontflip,360 (press up, then 4 or 6) Make themcount. As you come down for a landing, another rail awaits. Time for some more grinding and more points. A jump at the endputs you back on the wide, snowy path.

NOTELike any good slope, thisslope has thousands of pathsfrom which to choose. Eachpath has its own pluses andminuses. This walkthroughgives you a nice route forearning some mad points andcatching wicked air. Explorethe different trails on theslope and see which oneworks best for you.

Decisions, decisions. Do you take the highroad or the low road? The long rails have beenkind to you, so stick to them. Take the rightpath and grind away.

A steep downhill is ahead. This is just whatyou need to get up your speed and stay in thelead. At the bottom of the hill are two morepaths, but it's time to get some air, so followthe blue snow up the ramp. Major air leads to

Ahead is the rock-hard mountain cliff. Quicklysteer left to avoid smashing into it. Follow theicy-blue snow down the path and catch a littleair off the next small jump. Two paths layahead: To the left are some jumps that are bigenough for pulling some gnarly tricks. Try aMute Air l or a Method Air L. The otherpath has a nice rail to grind. Go with the railand jump off the end. Get ready for anotherrail after that. The end of that rail takes youback to the snowy path.

some major points! Pull off as many tricks as you can before you land and get ready for another big jump. Steer toward the right as you hit the ramp. This sets you up for the landing.

Follow the snowy path as it curves to the left.Make a tight turn to the left toward a ramp.Try doing a Backflip Mute (2, l) or aBackflip Method (2, L). After you land, follow the trail to the right and use the smallhills near the mountainside to pull off morefancy tricks. Get some speed up because theblue ramp ahead will get you some major air.

Now you're in a large snow gully, just theplace for some high scoring points. Board yourway up the hill on the right and jump at thetop to start your tricks. Go back and forth fromside to side, doing more and more tricks. Trydoing a Frontflip 360 (8,6) or a Backflip 360(2,6). Next hit the ramp on the left side toget some air on your way out. Try doing a 1080(hold 4 or 6 until you land).

Right away, three rails are waiting for you onto the right. Try to hit the center of the firstrail because it will kick you off onto anotherone. Your fun's not over yet. There is one morerail. Keep grinding the rails until you're able togrind a fallen tree. Pull off a nice trick afteryou jump from the end.

After the tree is a steep downhill with somemore fallen logs. Steer toward one and go fora nice trick to get some good points added toyour score. Grind more rails after that to keepthe points rolling in, but keep to the center ofthe track and hit the ramp for some major air.If you can get a lot of air here, try doing aFrontflip 360 Mute (8,6,l) or a Backflip360 Mute (2,6,l).

When you come back to earth, follow the pathto the right and cut your way through the nicepowder. There will be plenty of opportunitiesto catch air off of the small hillsides, so be onthe alert. Also find fallen logs here and there.

A narrow snow valley cuts sharply to the right.After you get through, you can follow the pathand shoot over a barn, but instead stay to theleft and grind on the rail. You fly through theair with the greatest of ease and land near aconstruction area. Avoid the heavy machineryand follow the blue snow along the path. Besure to jump any timber that might trip you up.

A large, blue snow ramp looms ahead.Increase your speed and go for the gusto. Anice selection of tricks can add a lot of pointsto your score. Steer toward the left as youland and prepare for your final jump.

Aim for the center rail. Grind the rail after theSUV and score major points. Get a smoothlanding and sail for the finish line ahead of the competition.
