Outdoor Adventuresfor Primary Schools in Rivington
2015/16
Welcome to our place...
With over 20 years’ experience, we tailor outdoor learning activities to help develop students’ communication skills, team work and self-esteem. Our fully qualified instructors are highly experienced and passionate outdoorsy experts who are lots of fun!
Canoe in Lancashire’s “Mini Lake District” Our charity-run outdoor learning centre has exclusive access to Lower Rivington reservoir which at approximately 2km long is the largest body of water for sailing and paddling in Lancashire; within an hour’s journey from Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside.
Outdoor Adventurous Activity Our Primary School Adventure Programme aims to practise and contextualise the Primary Curriculum subject content in an engaging outdoor learning environment, with progressive routes through the years that increases physical activity and academic challenge whilst avoiding repetition. We are also very pleased to introduce for 2015/16 a Foundation Stage full or half-day visit.
We are very flexible and can build any activities into a day or half day trip according to how themes fall through the school year. Fun-packed residentials are also available for Year 4 and upwards.
Free or subsidised transport available for off-peak visits! We can now offer free or subsidised transport (depending on distance) for residentials, full day and half day visits during November to March and possibly in October and April visits (mid-season). Our new minibus has the capacity to hold up to 14 people, plus our driver of course! Call us today to check availability.
