PRIESTS PONDERINGS..
Each of us are individuals with our own thoughts and ideas and even
when a group of people have similar purposes they may use or show them in
different ways. For example, two people might decide that they would like to
help the local homeless shelter and one suggest that they would like to help
fundraise, selling raffle tickets etc. Whilst the other person might say, “I would
like to be a part of the shelter itself and help prepare the food”.
Both of these roles are important to the shelter and neither of them are better or
worse in their contribution, the important thing is that we do something!
Often people are critical of the path chosen by others, but we need to be mindful
that like Mary and Judas sometimes people see what is necessary in different
ways; the key to being part of God’s ministry is in action, it is in putting your
faith into ACTION.
It is in what we give that our lives are transformed by the Grace of God.
Blessings Fr Peter
PLEASE NOTE: NO Blue Cross Connect Service or Blue Cross Dinner.
FOR YOUR DIARIES
Love: Today we find ourselves at a dinner with Jesus, his disciples and Mary and Martha of Bethany. After dinner Mary shows her love for Jesus by anointing his feet with almost half a kilogram of perfume.
The fragrance must have been utterly overwhelming in the house. Despite this being an act of sheer love, Judas carps about the cost.
• Pray that we might show our love for Jesus every day, no matter the
cost, no matter who carps on the sidelines.
• Give thanks for Nungalinya College in Darwin, remembering especially
the students who will begin their studies at the college in 2019.
