Radio-frequency (Promax Lipo)

Here at Elaine Fances we use the Promax Lipo facial skin tightening

and contouring system. It can be used on the face or the body and

Cellulite, Fat Reduction and Skin Tightening on the BodySlim down using the power of therapeutic ultrasound energy to help

you achieve the body shape you’ve always desired. The Promax Lipo is

a totally non-invasive treatment to rid unwanted body fat and reduce

body circumference. This safe and effective procedure takes about 60

minutes and is suitable to treat areas such as the abdomen, thighs and

buttocks but also great on the upper arm area.

Promax Lipo uses ultrasound waves to selectively target fat cells

without affecting neighbouring tissue. The fat cells become more

permeable after treatment which allows transport of triglycerides

(fat) out of the cell. The triglycerides are then removed via the

body’s own immune cells over the following two to three months.

The heat will make the triglycerides in the fat cell softer so they can

start to be broken down. The heat also brings blood to the area,

which in turn brings nutrients. Cellulite often contains many toxins

in the area due to the clustered fat cells. This helps with the removal

of the softened fat and also with connective tissue which can be too

IPL Laser Treatment IPL is visible light of various wavelengths which allows hair

removal, skin rejuvenation and the removal of skin lesions with

very little trauma to the skin. The treatment is quick, gentle and

non-invasive. A hand held treatment head is placed against the

skin and pulses of light are delivered through a filter which is

selected according to the patient’s skin type. The light penetrates

the tissue and is absorbed by either the skin or hair, whichever is

applicable.

Pigment RemovalSun spots, liver spots, freckles and other unwanted pigmentation

are often associated with skin ageing and over exposure to the

sun. Generally these age spots pose no health risk, however they

can be unsightly and create a patchy, less youthful appearance.

Freckling and age spots are successfully lightened or removed

with Intense Pulse Light (IPL).

Red Vein RemovalFacial thread veins or broken red veins (telangiectasia) are small

unsightly superficial red, purple or blue veins that occur around

the nose and accross the cheeks and chin.

Facial veins may be hereditary or as a result of a variety of factors

including damage from sun exposure, wind and the extremes of

temperature. This treatment is also clinivally proven to help the

skin condition called rosacea.

Fungal Nail TreatmentPulses of light from the Nd YAG Laser passes through the toenail to the fungus underneath. The fungus is irradiated without any damage to the surrounding nail or skin. All toes are treated on both feet to ensure effective treatment. Prior to treatment we suggest you visit a Chiropodist/Podiatrist to confirm the fungal nail diagnosis and have the nail pared down if necessary. Please bring a spare pair of clean socks to wear after treatment.

Each client will require a minimum of 1-3 treatments at 2-4 week intervals. All nails on the foot with fungus should be treated and Dactarin used every day to keep any fungal activity dormant. Good foot hygiene should be followed.

Skin Tag RemovalSkin Tags (or verucca filiformi) are a soft, skin-coloured growth

that hangs from the surface of the skin. It is attached to your body

by a thin piece of tissue called a stalk. They are a problem because

the location of the tag may be irritated by the constant rubbing of

clothing or jewellery, they can also be located on places like the

Vistabel Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox)

Dermal Fillers:

Restylane; A hyaluronic acid which is identified in human tissue types. The products are NASHA, or non-animal stabilised hyaluronic acid. It is a biogradeable non-animal product, there is no risk of transmitted diseases or allergic reactions. Various strengths are available.

Juvederm

A biodegradeable non-animal hyaluronic acid used to correct lines and wrinkles. Various grades are available. SculptraIs a biodegradable and biocompatible poly-L-lactic acid which offers volume where required and gives long term results.

Radiesse

Is a unique dermal filler from synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHa) microspheres suspended in water based gel carrier. It is 100% biocompatible, therefore no allergy testing is needed before treatment. CaHa and its components, calcium and phosphate occur naturally in human tissue.
