SPLASH WATER TIGHTNESS

FRAMELESS SHOWER ENCLOSURES provide good splash protection. Due to the not existing bottom

profile water slightly can splash outward. This is opposite to an

unmatched transparency, exclusivity and easy cleaning.

PARTIAL FRAMED SHOWER ENCLOSURESprovide a very good splash protection. The slim profiles largely

prevents the leakage of water splashing but still give the

shower enclosure a light appearance.

FRAMED SHOWER ENCLOSURESwith a distinct profile have particularly good sealing proper-

ties.

The higher the bottom rail is designed, the less water can -

even dammed - flow outward.

Shower is not just shower. This doesn't mean only the external shape and

look. Because the design of the shower wall and shower tray also determine

the degree of splash proof. There is a simple formula: the more the profiles

are educated and concise, the higher the water protection is.

It doesn't matter if the shower enclosure is framed or frameless. Shower

enclosures from Duscholux meet the technical requirements for leak-tight-

ness. For execution of the shower tray there is a rule: the deeper and more

pronounced, the inner form, the higher the resistance during showers.

Information on bath / shower tray installation dimensions. The adjustment of

the standard shower enclosure is adapted to the bath / shower tray installation

dimension (WEM). This takes into account the indention measurement. For tray /

tub installation sizes outside the measurement range (special size), the installa-

tion must be made to measure.

CARETEC GLASS FINISHING

Real glass showers need regular care to ensure that you are pleased with the glass-clear optical appearance of your shower

wall for years to come. Together with the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology, EMPA, Duscholux

has developed a novel form of glass finishing which significantly simplifies this care requirement. CareTec glass treatment

creates a transparent protective film on the surface. This is durable for a long time thanks to the chemical bond to the glass

itself. The transparent CareTec coating is not just water and oil-repellent, it also reduces the deposit of limescale, dirt or soap

residue on the surface. Comparison values with commercially available products demonstrate the excellent durability and

functionality of CareTec. Long-term tests show that limescale deposits are reduced by up to 80% on CareTec coated glass. An

additional advantage: CareTec is resistant against the usual wear caused by microfibre cloths.

We recommend that you have your new shower wall treated at the factory with CareTec and, depending on the water hardness

in your area and use, renew it yourself at home using the CareTec Refresh Set after about two years. The set contains all the

utensils you will need, the polishing process is explained simply in three steps. You do not have to miss out on the CareTec

advantages even with a shower wall which has already been installed. Using the Duscholux Starter Set, you can retrospec-

tively apply the water and dirt-repellant protective film yourself.

CLEANING AND CARE So that your customers can take pleasure in their shower enclosure for many years to come, you should point out to them the

following measures for care and cleaning:

n For regular care, you only need a damp cloth or a sponge, this can also be used on CareTec-refined products.

n For intensive care, we recommend Duscholux care and cleaning agents (see care programme in this price list).

n The older the lime scale and dirt deposits are, the more obstinately they adhere to the surfaces. Cleaning work can be

greatly reduced if the interior glass surfaces are rinsed clean after showering, first hot and then cold, and dried with a

rubber glass wiper or cloth.

n CareTec refined glass reduces care and cleaning work depending on water hardness. Like a well-waxed car, dirt cannot

be prevented, but the regular care routine is made less labour-intensive.

PARTS SUBJECT TO WEAR AND TEARWe always use high-quality materials for our products. Various components, however, such as plastic seal profiles, water

deflector strips, etc. are subject to ageing and have to be replaced depending on frequency of use and care. Repairs carried out

on parts that are subject to wear are not subject to the warranty.

GUARANTEESDuscholux stands for quality. We therefore offer comprehensive guarantees of 2 years for shower enclosures, whirlpools and

5 years for shower trays and bathtubs. If you have an eligible claim for material or functional defects according to our sales

and delivery conditions, we will rectify the defect, refund the reduced value or supply a replacement free of charge.

Compensation claims for direct or indirect damage are excluded, installation or removal costs are not covered. The right to

claim under the guarantee starts when the stockist delivers the product (delivery date on the delivery note). The guarantee

duration is unaffected by a guarantee payment. The guarantee for the original product or any replaced parts lapses when the

guarantee period expires. The guarantee obligations of your plumbing supply dealer remain unaffected by this. If damage

occurs to our products due to improper handling and assembly, non-adherence to the assembly and maintenance instruc-

tions, external influences (transport) or tampering, which was not carried out by an accredited workshop in the plumbing

trade, there is no basic right to claim under the guarantee.
