The optional course ` The 21st Century Hazards` is the final and central product of the multilateral Comenius

Project rolling between 2011-2013 at LPS Roman, Romania and 5 other partner European institutions from France, Greece, Turkey, Portugal and Poland, financed by the European Committee by Lifelong

Learning Programme.

The course is an attractive alternative, modern and efficient method of teaching-learning new notions regarding the risks and vulnerabilities occurring locally, regionally and also continentally.

The course is an attractive alternative, modern and efficient method of teaching-learning new notions regarding the risks and vulnerabilities occurring locally, regionally and also continentally.

Supported by a hazard field and lab research guide, the course is a must in upbringing the children and youth.   Hmm…useful tips on how

to proper react when faced to an earthquake, storm or tornado !

Therefore, 430 bold students led by 65

pertaining teachers from all partner

countries, achieved some 44 lesson plans and 60

materials on natural and anthropic

hazards.

The optional course comprises 2 parts : 1st : Natural hazards

2nd : Anthropic hazards

The course is structured in 7 chapters, on 2 categories :

1- lessons and presentation in electronic format performed by students in European partnership.

2- Lesson plans, semester planning and learning units performed by pertaining teachers.
