Bazar Bizar invites you on a faraway journey to the dancing islands, ancient traditions and heavenly beaches of Indonesia. The Belgian interior brand that grew out of a lifelong passion for travel, creates highly original design pieces made from eco-friendly materials such

as water hyacinth, rattan and bamboo.

All items are (hand)crafted in a sustainable way and moreover, it is a means for supporting the local Balinese economy. Since Bazar Bizar takes care of the entire production process themselves, they also maintain control over it: from production all the way to delivery. They pay particular attention to good working conditions, high quality

finishing and guarantee fair wages for their workers.

This means that everything offered by Bazar Bizar is both ecological and fair trade, and in the future ... they intend to keep it that way.

OUR STORY

In our catalogues, you'll find our bohemian furniture, lamps, tableware, homeware, accessories and decorative items. Bazar Bizar stands for a nonchalant mix and match of colours and materials. The objects and furniture are made from natural, ecological materials such as

(recycled) wood, rattan, water hyacinth, bamboo and terracotta.

The extensive collection includes woven rugs, lamps, cushions, ceramics, chairs and many other interior and fashion items in gentle colours such as beige, brown, white and black. Pascale and Eddy find inspiration on their many travels around the globe. Sometimes they ride their scooter for hours deep into the Balinese hinterlands, where, in a remote village they may stumble upon the most exquisite

handmade, unique objects, created by the local populace.

Bazar Bizar’s interior pieces transport you to a sunny, exotic holiday destination, where you’d get up in the morning to greet the sun with a few yoga poses, go barefoot all the time, and let the gentle sea breeze

cool you.

Our label is a highly environmentally conscious and uses sustainable, authentic materials: for example, the wicker baskets incorporate plastic that has been gathered from the Balinese beaches and the sea. Coconuts are turned into rice or salad bowls, and we even offer reusable, 100% natural bamboo drinking straws, a sustainable

alternative for plastic straws.

OUR PRODUCT RANGE

All items are unique (no piece is quite like another), handmade by Balinese families and all have their own story to tell.

Bali is well-known for its ‘cottage industry’: hand crafting that is done by the local community, in which housewives mobilise their family or village and everyone has their own specialty. A placemat or basket by Bazar Bizar, for example, might be made in a village, which will then be further decorated with shells of feathers by a family in another village,

some 30 kilometres away.
