Press Release- MCO Concert *******For immediate release********* The Spanish & Portuguese Synagogue has been celebrating its 250th anniversary over the past few months with a gala, Sefer Torah launch, speaker series, as well an historical exhibit launch. On September 2nd at 7:30p.m., the Spanish & Portuguese synagogue is hosting the McGill Chamber Orchestra. They will perform a unique celebration of classical Jewish-themed music in honour of the synagogue’s milestone. Included is Max Bruch’s Kol Nidrei, just one week prior to the Jewish Holidays. The orchestra will be conducted by Maestro Boris Brott, and will feature world-famous soloists Matt Haimovitz and Mark Simons. The concert is sponsored by Mr. Irwin Miller, in honour of his late parents. The concert will take place at 4894 St. Kevin.
