2014 PASTORAL APPOINTMENTS

The Most Reverend Terrence Prendergast, SJ, Archbishop of Ottawa, announces the following

appointments which become effective on August 1st, 2014, unless indicated otherwise.

FOR THE ENGLISH SECTOR

Fr. Daniel Dubroy will retire from full time ministry on August 1, 2014.

Fr. Thomas Riopelle will retire from full time ministry on August 1, 2014.

Fr. Joseph Vayalil will retire from full time ministry on August 1, 2014.

Region I

Fr. Gerard Monaghan is re-appointed Administrator of St. Margaret Mary parish in Cumberland

and St. Edith Stein parish in Rockland.

Fr. Andrew Obel is appointed Administrator of St. Jude parish in Hawkesbury and of Our Lady of

Divine Love parish in Pendleton.

Fr. Hezuk Shroff is appointed Pastor of Good Shepherd parish in Gloucester.

Fr. John Whyte is re-appointed Chaplain of the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario.

Deacon Thomas Donohue is re-assigned to St. Margaret Mary parish in Cumberland.

Deacon Kevin Foley is re-assigned to St. Margaret Mary parish in Cumberland.

Deacon Marc Gauthier is re-assigned to Annunciation of the Lord parish in Gloucester.

Deacon Richard Gervais is re-assigned to Our Lady of Divine Love parish in Pendleton.

Deacon Jeffrey Lebane is re-assigned to Divine Infant parish in Orleans.

Deacon Wayne Lee is re-assigned to Good Shepherd parish in Gloucester.

Deacon Norman Levesque is re-assigned to Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish in Ottawa.

Deacon Patrick McNulty is re-assigned to Our Lady of the Visitation parish in Gloucester.

Deacon Allen Peter Ritchie is re-assigned to Peter D. Clark Long Term Care Centre.

June 17, 2014.

Fr. Janusz Jajesniak, OMI is re-appointed as Pastor of St. Hyacinth parish in Ottawa.

Fr. Bryan Sabourin, CC is appointed Associate Pastor of St. Mary parish in Ottawa effective July 1st, 2014.

Fr. John Likosar, CC is appointed Associate Pastor of St. Maurice parish in Ottawa, effective July 1st, 2014.

Fr. Emeka Jude Onyeogubalu is appointed Administrator of St. Peter parish in Ottawa.

Fr. William Penney is appointed Administrator of St. John the Apostle parish in Nepean.

Fr. Bela Pesznyak is appointed Chaplain to the Hungarian community of Ottawa at St. Elizabeth parish

in Ottawa, effective January 21, 2014.

Deacon Fred Jardine is re-assigned to St. John the Apostle parish in Ottawa.

Deacon John Kennedy is re-assigned to Holy Cross parish in Ottawa.

Deacon Paul Soucie is re-assigned to St. Martin de Porres parish in Nepean.

Deacon Robert Van De Laar is assigned to St. George parish in Ottawa.

Deacon Greg Vaughn is re-assigned to St. John the Apostle parish in Nepean.

Deacon Matthew Chojna will be appointed Associate Pastor of Holy Redeemer parish in Kanata after

his presbyteral ordination.

Deacon Desmond Adam is re-assigned to St. Isidore parish in Kanata.

Deacon Thomas Cuddihy is re-assigned to St. Isidore parish in Kanata.

Deacon Mark Masson is re-assigned to St. Philip parish in Richmond and St. Clare in Dwyer Hill.

Deacon John O’Donnell is re-assigned to St. Isidore parish in Kanata.

Deacon Yves Trottier is re-assigned to St. Monica parish in Nepean.

FOR THE FRENCH SECTOR

Fr. Louis Fohssié will take a sabbatical study leave.

Region I

Msgr. Daniel Berniquez, EV is re-appointed Episcopal Vicar for Pastoral Services and for Consecrated Life

for the French Sector, without prejudice to his appointment as Rector of Notre Dame Cathedral-Basilica.

Fr. Jacques Kabangu is re-appointed Pastor of Saint-Gabriel parish in Gloucester.

Deacon Michel D’Aoust is re-assigned to Saint-Gabriel parish in Gloucester and to his apostolate with

the Centre de l’Amour.

Deacon Yvan Lavoie is re-assigned to Communauté-chrétienne Saint-Frère-André in Vanier.

Deacon Jacques Mayer is re-assigned to Saint-Gabriel parish in Gloucester.

Fr. Léo Villeneuve is appointed Associate Pastor of Sainte-Marie parish in Orléans, Saint-Hugues parish

in Sarsfield and Saint-Laurent parish in Carlsbad Springs, effective June 14th, 2014.

Fr. Jacques Kabasu-Bamba is re-appointed Pastor of Saint-Thomas d’Aquin parish, Sainte-Geneviève

parish and Nativité-de-Notre-Seigneur-Jésus-Christ parish in Ottawa.

Fr. Jean-François Morin is appointed Pastor of Saint-Remi parish in Ottawa.

Fr. Michel Pommainville is re-appointed Pastor Sainte-Marie parish in Orléans, Saint-Hugues parish in

Sarsfield and Saint-Laurent parish in Carlsbad Springs.

Deacon Pierre Bélanger is re-assigned to Sainte-Marie parish in Orléans, Saint-Hugues parish in Sarsfield

and Saint-Laurent parish in Carlsbad Springs.

Deacon Gaston Savage is re-assigned to Sainte-Marie parish in Orléans, Saint-Hugues parish in Sarsfield

Fr. Jonathan Blake is appointed Pastor of Sacré-Coeur parish in Bourget, Sainte-Félicité parish in

Clarence Creek, Saint-Mathieu parish in Hammond and Saint-Pascal-Baylon parish in St. Pascal-Baylon.

Fr. Joseph Lin Éveillard is re-appointed Pastor of Sainte-Euphémie parish in Casselman and Saint-Albert

parish in St-Albert.

Fr. Albert Kazadi Nkashama is appointed Pastor of Très-Sainte-Trinité parish in Rockland.

Region IV

Fr. Étienne Mfuni-Beya is re-appointed Administrator of Saint-Victor parish in Alfred and Saint-Thomas

parish in Lefaivre.

Deacon Rhéal Lalonde is re-assigned to Saint-Victor parish in Alfred and Saint-Thomas parish in Lefaivre.

Deacon Michel Miner is re-assigned to Saint-Grégoire-de-Nazianze parish, Saint-Eugène parish,

Saint-Bernardin parish, Saint-Joachim parish, Saint-Jean-Baptiste parish in L’Orignal and Sainte-Anne

parish in Ste-Anne-de-Prescott.
