should have a name tag on their bag to avoid confusion at the bag drop. ASGA National provides them along with labels if you lose a club. If you want to practice take a few clubs and go to the range. Your bag should stay on your assigned cart till your foursome is ready to go. Any-one who is late for their tee time will be disqualified from any prizes.

MEETING MINUTES OCTOBER 30, 2011 The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm. We met in the back room of Duffy’s at 721 Village Boulevard West, Palm Beach, FL. 33409. Present members were: David Ruddell, Cheryl Barnes, Jeff Elian, Rich Levy, Don Miller, Georgianna Cotton, John Samuells and Lynda Harivet. Jeff Elian nominated Rich Levy for Presi-dent. Dave Ruddell seconded the motion. Rich Levy agreed to serve stating the chapter is supposed to have a different President each year. He agreed to serve until a replacement can be found. Ireland — Summer of 2012 As we indicated last month, our Ireland trip is something we’ll

definitely do, however, the Republic of Ireland, a/k/a “Southern Ireland,” is contemplating dropping the Euro. Word on this should be out around the 10th-12th of December. Not knowing what a country’s currency is makes it difficult to plan an event, but we will get into high gear once the announcement

is made. Details should be viewable at www.SinglesGolf.com/Ireland by soon and we apologize for continuing to put this off. Over 225 members have shown interest in this event. 201 of our members visited Scotland in August, 2010.

Thanks for a great 2011 . . . Although Thanksgiving is behind us, it is time to thank all of our chapter presidents and officers and volunteers. Local structure is what continues to make ASGA a success in the lives of our individual members. And thanks for those who have stepped forward to serve for 2012. Let’s make it a banner year and open up our chapters to more members. After all, singles always en-joy meeting other singles. That’s the nature of our organization.

West Coast New Years: Our Palm Springs chapter will host New Year’s at the Hyatt

Grand Champions and will treat you to some great golf at Indian Wells on our traditional celebra-tion dates of December 29-January 1. East Coast New Years: The ASGA National Office will host New Year’s a tad late. With 80% of those polled responding favorably, the decision was made to head to Florida a few days after the new year begins in order to save on airline costs and airport hassles during the

holidays. The East Coast / Sarasota “cele-belated” event will be at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota. We’ll play golf at the Ritz-Carlton Mem-ber’s Club. Each foursome on this golf day will have its own caddie. Then we’ll play Legacy, one of the area’s top-rated courses. We’ve got a phenomenal rate at the Ritz-Carlton. Deluxe rooms have a rack rate of $379 per day this time of the year, but the ASGA rate will only be $149 (including tax!). The event begins Wednesday, January 4 and normal group departure will be Saturday, January 7, how-ever, there will be optional rounds for those who wish to come early or stay late.
