Hello Brothers and Sisters. As I write this, it is mid- September of 2020. Conference finals are being decided in the NHL; classes have begun for children, (whether it is home schooling or classroom schooling they are returning to); and COVID-19 continues to be a consideration in what and how we do things in everyday life. The club has reopened with modified hours, services, and entertainment while, for

safety sake, our internal clubs have not begun their weekly activities. I am pleased to see the brothers and sisters who are attending their Aerie and Auxiliary meetings since they have begun again. At this point I offer my congratulations to Madam Joan Trotter and the entire Auxiliary Executive. What the remainder of 2020 holds for us is hard to say. As always, when it comes to operation of the Aerie, in an abundance of safety Aerie 2098 will continue to operate under the rules and regulations governing facilities such as ours regarding COVID19. At this moment I would like to acknowledge the work by the Trustees, Bar Staff, and Calgary 2098 members to get us to where we are today. Stay safe.

Fraternally yours,

Gord Shaw

Worthy President

and courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 88 years.

Curly will be lovingly remember and dearly missed by his
