Minutes to the November 7, 2012 Membership Meeting
The general meeting was held at the Sunrise cafe. Meeting called to order at 7:40 by Andrea. Attendance: Andrea Mowdy. Donna & Duane Staack, Donna Berardelli, Mel & Anne Gahley, Bonnie Camp, Connie Evans, Marnie Vandenberg, , Connie Graves, Lois Cant , Shawna Farrell, Deneen Phillips, Wade Kirksey & Connie Graves. TREASURER REPORT: The checking account has $14,312.96 the scholarship fund $1,492.80. Moved by Mel / Bonnie l to accept the treasurer report & give Marnie permission to pay the outstanding bills. Motion passed unanimously. Received $671.00 for banquet tickets. Mel moved 2nd by Connie G to hold $750.00 for rule books printing. We have an outstanding bill from a double Point contestant of $140.00. Wade moved 2nd by Mel to give Anita permission to write a letter requesting the fee. The letter will outline the fact that this affects their year end points & the scholarship. It passed unanimously. DOUBLE POINT COMMITTEE: Wade reported a bunch of positive feedback on the fall show. The April 13 & 14thspring double Pt show will be held at the Id Horse Park. Main arena will be open until 8:00p.m. Friday eve & the coverall until 10:00 PM. A trail practice is planned for the spring. The stalls & parking can be scheduled on line. The cost for the stalls will be $20.00. Discussion turned to more advertizing to help pay the extra cost. of the arena. So please pass the word. Hopefully flyers will be done by the banquet for posting to help people become aware of the show. EPRB / LOC Committee: JOHN IS PRINTING THE BALLOTS THEN SENDING THE BALLOTS TO JACKIE BATEMAN FOR MAILING. DONNA S ASKED
ABOUT THE JUDGE’S CLINIC. ANNE REPORTED IT WAS SMALL BUT THOSE ATTENDING GAINED KNOWLEDGE ABOUT REINER RAIL FROM JOHN & TIM
ABOUT DISCIPLINED RAIL. WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE A PROFIT. YEA!!! NEWSLETTER: NO REPORT. SCHOLARSHIP: The scholarship group was given a big hand for all the fine work they have done to award money for youth members in college. Donna B was given an extra “atta a girl” for handling many of the details. AWARDS COMMITTEE: BANQUET COMMITTEE: Deneen reported the committee will meet on Nov 15 at 7:00pm at her place. Buckles have been ordered from Showtime, The group has gone over points & determined the qualifiers. The teams group didn’t work so well. Discussion was held about several ideas for making the team group work at the spring show. The banquet will be held Jan 19th, it is ready to go. NEW BUSINESS: Point secretary resume due by December meeting. People applying send resume to Andrea Mowdy. Selection will be made at the Dec 5thmeeting with an executive meeting. Next meeting: December 5th at the Sunrise Café in Middleton. Starting at 7:30pm. Exceutive meeting after regular meeting to find a point secretary for 2013. The Year End Banquet is scheduled for January 19th at the Nampa Civic
Center. Please hurry and purchase your banquet tickets. Tickets will
not be available at the door. Contact Deneen Phillips at
[email protected]. Adults are $16.00 and Children are $8.00
We are still in need of a sponsor for the Tana Woodburn Award. If
interested please contact Deneen Phillips.
Silent Auction items are needed. Please check with Connie Evans at
[email protected] She needs to plan for adequate space to display
all items.

DOUBLE POINT SHOW NEWS: We have finalized the dates for the Spring
show which will be April 13th and 14th, 2013. We are moving the show
from Canyon County Fairgrounds to the Idaho Center!!! We are excited
