Get Well wishes to all members who
may be in ill health. We hope you have a
speedy recovery
Tickets have been selling briskly. Our goal was to sell 200 of them, and we are going to be close to reaching that num-ber, which repre-sents the largest profit we could make for our Lodge on this event. The first drawing for weekly prizes will be on Fri-day, May 9, and the Italian Buffet dinner is going to be on Friday, July 11. Re-member that we are giving away $1,000 in cash prizes!

February 2018 febbraio Editor: Tony DiCostanzo
Dear brothers, sisters, and friends:
President’s Message
Lodge News
New Members Initiated
At our January assem-bly meeting five new members were initiat-ed into the Order. We welcome: Mike Sculli, Rossana Shanklin, Jim DeVa-ney, Betsy Pronti, and Bob Paliotti. Congratulations!
Condolences
Our condolences go out to the families of some recently de-ceased brothers and sisters of the Geneva Lodge. During the month of January our lodge lost brother Pe-ter Zeoli and sister Vicenzina Carnavale. On Feb. 1st we lost sister Andrea “DeeDee” Augustine.
These members will be missed and we of-fer our prayers and sympathy to their families. May they all rest in peace.
Feb. 1, 2018 - 2:03 am
As I sit here and hold the hand of my friend, our sister, I want to share my thoughts with all of you. Life is more fragile than we actual-ly realize. At any time, someone we know or love can be taken from our sight. The circle of life is a short one but few of us actually know that our last day is close.
February is the month that we celebrate love; so do something special. Forgive a person who has trespassed against you if only in your heart. Make that visit you’ve been putting off for a while. Lis-ten to your body when it tells you to see a doctor. Say hello to those you’d normally walk by. Listen to an individual that needs to be heard. Share a meal, a kind word, a small note or just a smile with someone out of your normal group. Take your neighbors trash to the curb while you’re taking yours. Take a CPR class – you never know when you might need to use it. Compliment a stranger. Buy car wash certificates to keep in your car to use throughout the year. Each time you go, give the attendant two tickets, one for you, and one for the car behind you. Bring baked goods to your local police or fire station to say thank you. Pay for the person’s groceries ahead of you or a stranger’s meal.
Hug your children, significant other, family members and friends. Most of all say “I love you” to them. Life is short and it’s never too late to live a better one. Your heart will be lighter and your journey more peaceful.
With peace and love to all of you as we enter the month of February that ‘s symbol is the heart.
