President Messages

It is my great honor to devote the contribution as the new president of the outstanding AOCC in 2018.

In the past years, AOCC has made extraordinary achievements. I’ve been the witness of the establishment and development of AOCC. AOCC is a young and prosperous organization which provides great opportunities to boost the progress of Chron’s and colitis. AOCC is also the warmest family of clinicians and researchers to exchange their cutting-edge achievements.

In 2018, We’ll continually exert all our energies to promote substantial cooperation among Asian countries and areas. Meanwhile, we eagerly welcome in-depth collaboration with Chron’s and colitis societies of Europe and North America as well. Given the deep obligation to provide Chron’s and colitis patients with both emotional support and optimized treatment, we’ll put great effort on patient education, in order to encourage our patients’ active participation to positively cope with the diseases.

I’d like to express my deep gratitude to all the gastroenterologists who endeavor to promote the academic and clinical development of inf lammatory bowel disease. With the calling of our earnest patients, and with the concern of healthy issues, we’ll continue with the enthusiasm to pursue this medical challenge by all means. With the broad vision of globalization, AOCC is of bright future. I’m proud to be the part of the organization.

Sincerely,

Thanks Message

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of all the organizing committee members, we would like to thank you for your participation and efforts given at the 5th Annual Meeting of the Asian Organization for Crohn’s and Colitis (AOCC 2017). Without your support, we would not have been able to hold this successful event.

Your participation was an impetus to bring our colleagues in the profession closer together to encourage dynamic communication and collaboration. The meeting was attended by 1,221 people from 29 countries including scholars, doctors, and many other relevant people from around the world. It was indeed an IBD expert meeting that lasted for three whole days that were filled with enthusiastic discussions.

Once again, we would like to express our deep and sincere appreciation for your efforts rendered in support of the meeting. We hope that AOCC 2017 was both enjoyable and educational, and we look forward to seeing you again in China in 2018.

Sincerely yours,

Suk-Kyun YangPast President, Asian Organization for Crohn’s & Colitis

INVITATION AND GREETING

Dear Colleagues, We are pleased to announce the 6th Annual Meeting of the Asian Organization for Crohn’s and Colitis (AOCC2018) to be held in Shanghai, China, from June 21-23, 2018. Five international conferences have been held successfully by AOCC in Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing and Kyoto respectively. Several observer countries and regions show their passionate work in Asian inflammatory bowel disease, and become the family member of AOCC. A party for the future inflammatory bowel disease in Asia needs our participation. The Governing Board of AOCC is delighted to host this international meeting of the latest update in inflammatory bowel disease. This meeting will provide a truly global perspective and an opportunity for clinicians and researchers from AOCC countries to present their research and interact with participants over the world. There will also be excellent opportunities for clinicians and researchers to get up-to-date information and education with the diagnosis and management of inflammatory bowel disease at the exciting meeting and multiple workshops. The theme of AOCC2018 ‘Guiding the Fusion and Advance for Asian IBD’ encourages all participants sharing their latest clinical experiences and basic opinions in inflammatory bowel disease. This meeting is also a valuable opportunity to network with other health professionals with similar interests in inflammatory bowel disease. We sincerely hope that you will show in the AOCC2018. Your presence will be a truly worthwhile experience. Undoubtedly, the success of the AOCC2018 is due to the enthusiasm and generosity of the scientists and clinicians who attend. We therefore encourage you to participate and contribute to this amazing success in Shanghai. We look forward to seeing you all in Shanghai. Yours sincerely,
