Fall Foliage Tour
Day 1/Bloomington IL to Portage, IN
This afternoon we begin on our journey to Portage,
Indiana. Here we join the North Dakota group for our
adventure to the New England States. This evening we
overnight in Portage, Indiana. Attention guys– Bass Pro
Shop is just down the street!
Day 2/Portage, IN to Cranberry Township, PA
We travel to Ohio and visit Sauder Village, Ohio’s largest
living history village. Visit at your leisure with costumed
guides and working craftsmen in the historic homes &
shops. An all-you-can eat lunch buffet is included at the
Barn Restaurant, or iginally built in 1861! After lunch,
we continue on to Pennsylvania for our overnight. (CB,

Day 3/Cranberry Township to Lancaster, PA
Today we travel to Amish Country in Pennsylvania.
Enjoy a delicious homemade Pennsylvania Dutch family-
style lunch, followed by a tour of an Old Order Amish
Homestead, Amish farmlands tour, and F/X Theatre
presentation, “Jacob’s Choice.” We overnight in
Lancaster. (CB, L)
Day 4/Lancaster, PA to New York City
Our destination today is New York City. Late morning we
will board a ferry at Liberty State Park, located near
Jersey City, NJ, to visit Ellis Island & the Statue of
Liberty. Our home for the next two nights is in the
heart of Midtown Manhattan! You will have the evening
free to explore the sights and sounds of Midtown
Manhattan on your own. (CB)
Day 5/New York City
A local guide joins us for a 4-hour tour of New York
City. Following our tour we will visit the 9/11
Memorial Museum & Memorial Plaza which displays
artifacts associated with the events of 9/11, while
presenting stories of loss and recovery from that life
changing day in 2001. This evening we will attend a Broadway show.
Day 6/New York City to Boston, MA
Today we travel to Plymouth, MA, and experience the
Pilgrims life at Plimoth Plantation. Travel back to the
year 1627, seven years after the voyage of the
Mayflower. The Mayflower will be returning home after
a 3 year restoration in preparation for it’s 400th
Anniversary this year. Our home for the next two nights
is in the Boston area.
Day 7/Boston, MA
This morning we visit the JFK Library & Museum.
Lunch is included today at Amer ica’s oldest restaurant,
the Union Oyster House, established in 1826! After
lunch, a step-on guide joins us on our motor coach for a
Boston City Tour. This evening, you’ll have time to
explore Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall for shopping and
dinner on your own. (CB, L)
Day 8/Boston, MA to Newry, ME
This morning, depart Massachusetts and travel to Maine.
Our destination today is Sunday River. Here a local
outfitters guide joins us on a specialized moose watching
tour, also known as a moose safar i. You’ll have the
opportunity to safely and comfortably view these
magnificent creatures, and other wildlife that might come
along the way. This evening we enjoy dinner at our hotel.

Day 9/Newry, ME, to Littleton, NH
Today we head to Vermont. After a soup & sandwich
buffet lunch, we r ide the Mt. Washington Cog
Railway to the top of Mt. Washington, where the
spectacular scenery of New England will spread out
before us. Our destination today is Littleton. (CB, L)

Day 10/Littleton to South Burlington, VT
Today we visit Maple Grove Farms Maple Sugar Facto-
ry. Our travel continues to the Cold Hollow Cider
Mill where we will hear a br ief history, see a cider
press at work and get a sample of fresh apple cider! After
lunch, we continue on to Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Fac-
tory, where we star t with a short “moo-vie,” then visit
the production room, learn about their manufacturing
process and sample their Flavor of the Day! Next, we
visit the Cabot Annex Store, where you will find many
local Vermont items such as Cabot Cheese, Snow Farm
Wine, Lake Champlain Chocolates, Green Mountain
Coffee, and Vermont-made crafts. (CB)
Day 11/South Burlington, VT to Watertown, NY
We travel to New York State on to Alexandria Bay locat-
ed on the St. Lawrence Seaway. This afternoon, we
board Uncle Sam’s Boat for a nar rated 2 1/2 hour Two
-Nation Cruise of the 1000 Islands, including a stop at
Boldt Castle. Lunch is included. We overnight in
Watertown this evening. (L, CB)
Day 12/Watertown to Niagara Falls, NY
Our travels continue west through New York to Niagara
Falls. Enjoy an up-close view of the falls on the famous
Maid of the Mist boat tour .

Day 13/Niagara Falls, NY to Frankenmuth, MI
After breakfast, we continue west to historic Franken-
muth, Michigan’s “Little Bavaria.” Dinner is included
at the world famous Zehnder’s Restaurant, where hos-
pitality abounds as you dine on their traditional family-
style chicken dinner! (CB, D)
Day 14/Frankenmuth to Bloomington, IL
We depart after breakfast for travel through Michigan
and into Indiana and Illinois. We bid farewell to our
new found friends from the Dakotas after a wonder-
ful, colorful adventure east.
