HistoryInternational TradeLink has a unique partnership with a Kiwi company in Shanghai, which provides the supply of customised, rapidly deployed, accommodation and dwellings such as residential & student housing, villas, office buildings, hotels, apartments and shopping malls.

Designed & manufactured off site, these prefabricated container housing complexes have been completed all over the world in countries such as African Nations, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States and Papua New Guinea.

INTRODUCTION

International TradeLink proposes container housing as ideal for Natural Disaster Recovery Programmes such as Queensland or Victoria’s flood relief and/or the Australian Mining Industry. The following slides depict examples that could be used for a customised solution.

o The above is a 1000 bed container housing student complex in Papua New Guinea designed by our partners. Each unit sleeps 2 people and is constructed from a 20 foot container. The same composite wood exterior façade can be used for Australian housing, construction or office premises.

o All containers can be fitted with additional thermal interior insulation to accommodate for colder winters such as may be required in Victoria. The cost for the heat pump is NOT included -- but can be added and shipped directly with the container units.

o Design of the container housing, the exteriors including the roof design and cladding can all be tailored according to client requirements.

o This is an example of affordable container housing in Hawaii and one which might be attractive to some Flood Relief residents or for accommodation in the construction and mining industries in Australia.

o Note the additional open-air pitched roof which can be added with low eaves providing additional shade in hot climates.
