TRANSCRIPT

Deuce Ducartier (Du-CAH-tee-ay) brings massive singing vocals and a truly cutting edge sound that lays hard guitars over hard hitting bass. His fresh blend of Rock and Hip Hop creates a new sound called Urban Rock, which hooks listeners and pushes the Hip Hop game to the next level. Influenced by Rock and Hip Hop artists such as Lenny Kravitz and Andre 3000, Deuce’s high-energy performances have been described as unique and attention grabbing. He currently resides in Atlanta but hails from the DC, Virginia, Maryland (DMV) area. He has performed for universities in the Southeast and opened for acts such as Rick Ross, Ryan Leslie, Wale, Monica and many more. Deuce Ducartier’s love of music began at the age of 13 and developed as he studied the lyrical craft of some his favorite artists such as Notorious B.I.G and N*E*R*D. He credits Ma$e and Diddy’s “Feel So Good” as the first rap song that spoke to him, but what really opened his mind and imagination to other genres was hearing The Beatles song, “Across the Universe.” The combination of these influences—slick beats, lyrical content, and mind-expanding rock riffs—helped shape his diverse sound. In his own words, Deuce describes his sound as “futuristic, melodic, blissful, entrancing, bold, and sensational stimuli to the ear. Music that has that IMAX movie feel to it where everything seems big, vivid and loud.” His vision is to make timeless music that makes his fans who don’t listen to Rock become fans of Rock and vice versa with Hip Hop. Ultimately, he wants to make Rap n’ Roll a standard genre. “I’m just trying to bring that creativity that most people only imagine, fantasize, or dream about into a song,” he explains. Deuce Ducartier’s persona can best be described by what he wants his audience to feel when they hear his music: “I want people to imagine the unimaginable. There’s no limitation on making music.”

The Past. The Present. The FUTURE. Deuce Ducartier is the self-proclaimed king of “Rap n’ Roll.” He recorded his EP, “Life on Planet Rock,” in Atlanta with producers from 340 Music. His debut music video for his single, “Invincible,” was shot in Atlanta by director Carlos Ramsey of Made You Look Films.
