FDM 501New Features


What's New for FDM R501 1Q18

• Support for the following Control Platforms:Support for ControlEdge UOC – FDM solution provides the capability of management of HART devices connected various families of controller supported in Experion PKS system. The 2017 Release of Experion PKS R505 introduces the ControlEdge 900 Platform and rack-based form factor into Experion PKS named ControlEdge UOC. FDM 501 will provide support for management of HART devices connected to ControlEdge UOC connected UIO (ControlEdge 900 form factor) modules.

Support for Safety Manager SC - FDM solution provides the capabilities of management of HART devices connected to Safety Manager. The Safety Manager SC is new offering which provide a cost effective/competitive, scalable, flexible and suitable SIL2/SIL3 Safety solution. FDM 501 needs to support the management of HART devices connected to Safety Manager SC HART IO modules (USIO).


What's New for FDM R501 1Q18

• Asset Sentinel integrationIAMS with Instrument Sentinel integration - FDM 500 provides the capabilities of EDD based read-only device data display (HTML) in Instrument Sentinel. FDM 501 needs to support the assets synchronization, fault model creation and instrument diagnostic synchronization from FDM to Instrument Sentinel for Experion and non-Experion networks (e.g. Safety network, Multiplexer, RTU, PLC). This solution shall support HART, Wireless HART and FF devices. Integrated IAMS shall support the single machine deployment. FDM R501 allows Asset sentinel to be installed in the same server with FDM, reducing cost and simplifying project execution.

• Offline Configuration improvementsEnhanced user experience for offline configuration of HART devices – FDM solution provide the capability for HART offline device configuration. FDM 501 enhances the user experience for offline configuration of HART devices by enabling offline root menu support. FDM 501 shall enable the DD based wizard for offline configuration creation and other DD elements.

Context: Event\Alarm will be notified if device is connected and not out of service. Actions: Recommended action for recovery.
