The choices of a leader go a long way in affecting productivity either positively or negatively. It is vital to develop decision making skills to be able to get things right.
MOTIVATIONAL SKILLS
To make the team put in their best efforts, they have to have a positive attitude, which only a leader can impart across. Decide a time to motivate, but do not overlook it is an essential part of team management skills.
COMMUNICATION SKILLSInstructions have to be properly passed across to the team by the leader. Inquiries have to be sufficiently entertained, to avoid any confusion & misinterpretation.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION
Conflicts are likely to arise between people coming from different backgrounds to work together. The leader must be able to resolve issues between workers in the team & encourage healthy relationships.
CREATIVITY
Sometimes, it takes more than hard-work to get the job done. The leader must create benchmarks by showcasing his creativity to think out of the box and let the team follow an innovative journey.
