TRABAJO PRACTICO

DE

ENERGÍA EÓLICA

Page 2: Presentación4

The windmill consists of a classic rock structure with cylindrical or frustoconical with a circular base, which supports a separate top, with blades that transform wind energy into mechanical

energy (motion). This top (which also serves as a cover) is a timber frame which can be rotated on the drum stone blades to guide the direction of the wind, by a long tree (government, to the right of the mills of the image) fixed to the roof and exterior of the building, which can tie up a

few milestones lashed down.

At the top of the building, below deck, there are small windows (which are also seen in the picture) which served the miller knew the wind direction and, consequently,

could orient the blades as best suited to government.

Just as water mills have pallets to develop strength, windmills used blades. The classic

model comprises four blades, the force exerted by the wind on the blades is transformed into a more powerful force on the central axis. A series of gears and bevel gears transmits this force, which usually turns a millstone. The energy of the windmill is

dependent on the speed of the wind strikes the blades and the surface of the wind

they offer.

Page 5: Presentación4

Two percent of it is converted into wind energy with a value capable of giving an output of +11 10E Gigawatts? In antiquity did not know this information, but what is certain is that intuitively

knew the great potential of this energy.

Some scholars say that the windmill was invented by the Greek Hero of Alexandria in the first century BC, by the need to harness the energy or wind served to move the bellows of an organ. Then there are those who claim that the windmills appeared in Persia in the seventh century, and is used for irrigation and milling and were composed of wings mounted on a vertical pole, which inferiomovíaia end milling. Then the Arabs were the ones who took advantage of these devices for harnessing wind and were brought to Europe by the Crusaders. These mills have reached Europe around the eleventh century, and utilized for irrigation and for milling grain, they were used for pumping water in land under sea level, sweeping wood, paper mills, also used for the pressed to produce oil seeds for crushing all kinds of materials. In this mill the whole body rotating around a vertical axis mounted on trunks, and supported on a brick. Come the nineteenth century came to be built in the Netherlands about nine thousand mills.

In the 30s and 40s of last century, long after steam engines had stopped wind power obsolete, Dutch researchers scientists presumed to improve the already complex traditional windmill. The results were spectacular and there is no doubt that today a ecogeeks the army could improve further.

Proceedings of the model:1_ Paint base plate distinguishing tergopol earth.2_ We pitched conical shaping mills with cardboard.3_ We use straws to create a kind of structural pipes that held the cables (wool).4_ Create a house where in it would be a generator, then create another receiving home energy producing windmills.5 _ Finally decorate the model with small shrubs, for we use Christmas pine branches.
