MASTER Seating System

• MASTER is IMAT’s flagship seating. It consists of a versatile construction seating programme

that allows creating configurations adaptable to every need.

• Seat and back cushions are manufactured in coloured injected polyurethane. The use of

coloured polyurethane padding avails a wide chromatic range, avoiding the use of textile

fabrics, which have shorter life and more difficult and expensive maintenance.

• Fixing components as well as the rest of fastening accessories are made of aluminium

casting, being therefore all elements of the structure fixed by means of screws without the

use of any kind of welding whatsoever.

• MASTER features soft lines, providing a non-aggressive design.

• Seat repetition does not cause visual fatigue and is easily integrated in the general design of

the building on a natural way.

Seats

• The basic metallic structure that forms the seat-back shell of MASTER beam seating units is

manufactured with white gauged steel plate 3 mm thick.

• Edges of the steel plate are bevelled in order to avoid blade effect. All corners are rounded

to soften any blow.

• The angle formed by seat and back is designed to provide a comfortable wait. At the same

time, it allows easiness in the actions of sitting down and standing up, a matter of especial

importance for elder or handicapped users.

Beam

• The beam, over which the seat-back shell modules, and optionally tables, are placed, is a

70 mm in diameter tubular element with a 3 mm thick wall obtained by extrusion.

• Seats, backs, tables and bases are fastened to the beam by the use on injected aluminium

components.

Fixing Components

• Fixing components are obtained by high-pressure aluminium casting allowing a firm hold to

the tubular beam.

• Polishing is done by the use of pneumatic machinery prior to powder coating.

• Seat, back and tables are fastened to the beam by the use of aluminium components that

are tightened using semi-circular pieces: U-Brackets

Bases

• The standard COMPAS base of MASTER seating system is made in aluminium high pressure

casting. It allows easy height adjustment if seating unit is installed on uneven floor and is

situated under the seats therefore avoiding eventual risks to the users.

Armrests

• Metallic armrests model VIT are manufactured in injected aluminium and in the same finish

than the rest of the metallic structure.

• Padded armrest model BCN features a large and soft polyurethane pad providing great

comfort. Open armrest features a large thick padding with the same characteristics as the

seat-back cushion. Their generous sizes offer comfort.

Power USB-Box

• This device maximizes power and USB distribution to the passengers.

• Leds indicate ready for service to users.

• Universal Model featuring 220 VAC capacity. Electric Current: 5A for each unit.

• Other models with different power capacities are also available, on demand.

Back-to-Back Fixings

• Component made of aluminium-casting, which allows creating back-to-back

configurations. As shown in the figures below, this component enables a 10 cm distance

between rows.

Personalized headrest

• On demand, any logotype or symbol can be inserted in the upper part of the backrest pad,

as shown in the pictures below.

PRM Seats

• These kind of seats are specially thought for the use of PRM (Persons of Reduced Mobility).

Sometimes, depending on the airport and its legislation, it is required to place a certain

percentage of PRM seats.

• Our recommendation is to install entire groups of PRM benches, with the following

characteristics:

• Armrests in every positions.

• Avoid the placement of side tables.

• Identify these seats with signs, logotypes or other colors.

• Place these seats at privileged locations.

• Making the bench higher than standard benches.
