Yo voy (I go) Tu vas (You go) El, ella, usted va (He, she goes)

Nosotros, nosotras vamos (We go) Vosotros, vosotras váis (You go) Ellos, ellas, ustedes van (They go)

Contraction “al” The verb IR is usually followed by the preposition “a”.

When the preposition “a” is followed by the masculine article “el”, the two words form the contraction “al”.

a + el = al

If the noun following the article is feminine we will use “a la” : Ella va a la universidad. (She goes to the university)

If the noun following the article is masculine we will use “al” : Yo voy al parque. (I go to the park)
