3rd person singular AFFIRMATIVE

• When you write the verb in third person singular you add an –s

• PLAY PLAYS• READ READS• SPEAK SPEAKS

• In some cases you add –es1. Verbs ending in consonant + -y : the third

person changes the -y to -ies:FLY FLIES
