Present countinuous (I´m doing)

Use the continuous for something that is happening at or arround the time of speaking. The action is not finished.

I am doing

Examples:

The water is boiling. Can you turn it off?

I´m going to bed now. Goodnight! Let´s go out, it isn´t raining now. Maria is in Britain at the moment.

She is learning English.

Use the continuous for a temporary situation:

I´m living with some friends until I found a flat.

¨You are working hard today¨. ¨Yes, I have got a lot to do¨.

Present simple (I do)

Use simple present for things in generalor things that happen repeatedly.

Use the simple present for a permanent situation
