The Prescoiite Outdoor Light-ing collection is made up of awide variety of landscape light-ing units combining clean, un-obtrusive design with ruggedquality and exacting perform-ance. The lighting designspresented are intended toserve the outdoor l ightingneeds of the discerningspecifier from below grade tohigh level area illumination.Equipment is included repre-senting the need for 'lighting tosee by' -lighting deviceswhich perform their illuminatingfunction in an efficient,straight-forward and incon-spicuous manner, as well as'lighting for effect' -deviceswhich sparkle or glow or floodsurfaces and foliage with light.Following are some of thedesign objectives incorporatedinto the Prescolite Outdoorcollection:SIMPLIFIED MAINTENANCE,RUGGED CONSTRUCTIONHeavy, cast and extruded alu-minum components providestrength to withstand van-dalism and abuse.Tamperproof closure fasteners-yet easy access to electricalcomponents for maintenancepersonnel.Quality light control materialssuch as 'Alzak' reflectors, tem-pered glass lenses, acrylic and'Lexan' polycarbonate enclo-sures stand up to continuousexposure to heat, cold, ultra-violet radiation and all weatherconditions.

APPEARANCE &PERFORMANCESimple geometric forms aretended to complement but nintrude on the landscaped evironment.Careful attention to detailingsuch as hidden base mountinand fasteners provides cleararticulated designs, free of etraneous elements.Scale to the human figu.re anapplications carefully considein the design of everyluminaire. Nighttime and daytime appearance are equalconcerns.Precisely contoured reflectorand careful ly calculated shieing comfortably reduce glarewhile providing efficient l ightdistr ibution. All products areUnderwriters Laboratorieslisted and C.SA certified.FIN ISHES - Stand ard Iinishare textured, painted colors:textured gray (T/G), black (8bronze (Z), which matches aDuranodic #312, and pewtgray (G). Finish is a bakedenamel applied to a surfaceprepared by an iron phosphaand acid process to insure ecellent adhesion. SPHERES AND CUBESPrescolite has refined the heavy duty sphere or cube luminaireand added many new varieties through "internals," which trans-form them into efficient or highly decorative lighting devices.Fitters blend evenly with the sphere sizes, one for 12" and 1411diameters, one for 18" and 22" diameters; all parts are diecastaluminum and very heavy duty; twist-locking rings are sealed tothe sphere enclosure and protect the edges of the opening whenrelamping; a tamperproof locking screw is provided.Acrylic has emerged as the most desirable globe material dueto its clarity and stability against U.v. and the effects of the out-door environment. The Prescolite sphere is also available in"Lexan'' polycarbonate in all sizes.The acrylic cube is a beaut ifuliexample of quality craftsman-ship; fabricated of heavy sheet, resulting in absolutely crisp,sharp edges. The two sizes, 12" x 14" and 18" x 21", wereselected for their excellent proportion with various poles. Alsonote that the slightly taller dimension in relation to width com-pensates visually for the foreshortening effect when viewed ona pole. (A perfect cube (i.e. 12" x 12") appears squatty at normalviewing angles.)
