You are receiving this mailing because you petitioned to graduate from Saint Xavier University and indicated that you plan to participate in the May 2019 commencement ceremonies. The Office of Records and Advising verifies each petitioner’s eligibility to graduate based on completion of all requirements. COMMENCEMENT TICKETSEach graduating student will receive four general admission tickets for their respective commencement ceremony. All guests, including infants and children, must have a ticket to gain entry into the Shannon Center. Tickets are only available at Grad Fest. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. Tickets may be forfeited if not claimed at Grad Fest. Ticket allocation is based on the number of students participating in commencement ceremonies. You may request additional tickets beginning on Monday, March 25 at 9 a.m. through Monday, April 8 at 5:30 p.m. at www.sxu.edu, keyword: Commencement.

DIPLOMASEach graduate receives a diploma cover at their commencement ceremony. Diplomas will be ready for pick-up in the Office of Records and Advising (Warde Academic Center, Room A-203) beginning on the following days:For Spring 2019: June 24 | For Summer 2019: September 3Degrees will also be posted on student records on the date listed above. All inquiries regarding diplomas, transcripts and records should be directed to the Office of Records and Advising at (773) 298-3501.

LIVESTREAMINGThe 2019 commencement ceremonies will be streamed live and accessible from SXU's home page on May 11.

SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONSIf you or anyone in your party needs special accommodations, please contact Margaret Rose McDonnell in the Center for Accessibility Resources before Friday, May 3 at [email protected] or (773) 298-3308 to discuss your specific needs. You may also complete the Disability Accommodations Request Form available now through May 3 at www.sxu.edu, keyword: Commencement. At commencement, a designated seating area on the main floor of the Shannon Center arena, behind the graduate seating section, will be available. One ticketed guest may accompany the individual with disabilities seated in this area. All ceremony guests must have a ticket.

FINANCIAL INFORMATIONStudents who have outstanding financial balances related to tuition, fees, room and board, etc., must arrange for an approved payment plan through the Bursar’s Office before March 11, 2019. If there is no approved payment plan on record, students will not be able to pick up their regalia or tickets at Grad Fest. Diplomas or transcripts will not be released if you have any financial holds on your account.Students borrowing from the Stafford or Perkins Loan programs must fulfill exit interview obligations before regalia, tickets, diploma or transcripts can be obtained. IMPORTANT DATES AND TIMESGRAD FESTRegalia (cap and gown) Pick UpTuesday, March 19, 2019 | 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.Gilhooley’s Grande Saloon, 3901 W. 103rd Street, ChicagoTo receive your regalia, please bring your student ID orvalid driver’s license. All students receive a gown, cap andtassel; graduate students also receive a hood. All these itemsare yours to keep. Grad Fest is the only regalia pickup dateprior to May 11. A photographer will be available all day ifyou would like photos taken in your regalia.Roundtrip SXU shuttle service will be available every hour beginning at 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. from the McGuire Hall entrance to Gilhooley’s Grande Saloon.If you are unable to attend Grad Fest, you may send someone with a notefrom you naming that person as authorized to pick up your regalia. Wewill ask that person for their ID. You also have the option of picking upyour regalia prior to your ceremony on Saturday, May 11.
