Prerequisite 12.0

OBJECTIVE: Solve for area of various quadrilaterals, triangles, and circlesSolve for perimeter of irregular figures and circlesUse Pythagorean Theorem

Page 2: Prerequisite 12.0 OBJECTIVE: Solve for area of various quadrilaterals, triangles, and circles Solve for perimeter of irregular figures and circles

Find the area of each figure (12.3 – 12.5) Identify the shape Write the formula to use: Trapezoid : A = (1/2)( b1 + b2)(h) Triangle : A = (1/2)(b*h) Rectangle : A = L * W

Page 3: Prerequisite 12.0 OBJECTIVE: Solve for area of various quadrilaterals, triangles, and circles Solve for perimeter of irregular figures and circles

Find the perimeter of an irregular figure Find any missing side lengths. Remember that

the parts add up to the whole.

Add all the sides together

Page 4: Prerequisite 12.0 OBJECTIVE: Solve for area of various quadrilaterals, triangles, and circles Solve for perimeter of irregular figures and circles

Find the area of each circle with the given radius or diameter (12.4,12.6,12.7) Identify the given part of the circle Find the radius if it is not given Write the formula for the area of a circle: A = (3.14) * r² Fill in the value of r Simplify using order of operations

Page 5: Prerequisite 12.0 OBJECTIVE: Solve for area of various quadrilaterals, triangles, and circles Solve for perimeter of irregular figures and circles

Find the circumference of each circle given the radius or the diameter Identify the given part of the circle Write the formula for the circumference of

a circle: C = 2 * (3.14) * r (if radius is given) C = (3.14) * d (if diameter is given) Simplify using order of operations
