What is an active shooter?
• An active shooter event involves one or more persons engaged in killing or attempting to kill multiple people in a confined and populated area.
• A- Action
• C- Communicate
• T- Treat
What to do in an Active Shooter?You mustA-C-T

Run • Have a plan
• Leave your belongings
• Help others
• Call 911 when safe
• Leave phone on with 911 if you can’t talk
• Keep hands visible

• Behind locked door
• Shut the lights off
• Block the door with heavy objects
• Silence phone
• Turn off any noise making devices
• Remain quiet and calm

• Act as aggressively as possible towards them
• Throw items and improvise weapons
