We recommend including the following:Flashlight: To help you see where you’re going when it’s dark, and it is safer than using candles.

Radio: A hand-crank or battery-powered radio doesn’t need to plug into electricity.

Batteries: For your � ashlight or maybe for a radio. Make sure you have the right size.

Bottled water: In case your water is turned off from the storm.

First aid kit with bandages: This is good to have just in case somebody gets a cut or a burn during the storm.

take time to prepare before a storm hits.

Charge mobile devices, laptops or tablets if a storm is approaching and have them on standby.

Stay indoors or seek shelterduring a storm. Lightning is one of the top three storm-related killers in the United States, according to the National Weather Service.

Do not touch an object in contact with power lines. Objects, including tree limbs, can conduct electricity.

Watch the weather and know when bad weather is on its way, so you can avoid driving if possible. Accidents are more likely to happen during stormy weather.
