To help with social distancing and keeping exhibitors well-spaced, MBKC is providing a second building for crating. The crating will be in the Dairy Barn which is adjacent to the High Desert Activity Center where the rings are set up.

Deschutes County Covid-19 restrictions are not known at the time of the Premium Printing, this extra space will benefit everyone since limits to the amount of people that can occupy building may still be enforced.

AKC National Obedience Championship Region 8 Qualifying Event 2021 Mt Bachelor Kennel Club Trials dates are August 27, 28, 29, 2021

Eligibility Dates: December 01, 2020 to November 30, 2021. To qualify dogs must: •Have a UD title prior to competing at the regional competition •Compete in both Open B and Utility B in all three of the shows identified as an AKC regional competition •Have a cumulative score obtained from the dog's participation in Open and Utility at the regional competition •Be ranked from highest to lowest based on their cumulative score with 1,200 points being a perfect score •Qualify by cumulative score as one of the top four at one regional competition for an invitation to the National Obedience Championship

OTHER INFORMATION NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS

The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern these Shows and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium list.

ENTRY INFORMATION: Entries close at 12:00 noon PDT, August 11, 2021. Fees must accompany entries. Canadian Exhibitors MUST make all checks and/or money orders payable in U.S. funds. All checks and money orders should be made payable to Mount Bachelor Kennel Club or MBKC, mailed or delivered to Trial Secretary, Jill Faulmann, 20405 SW 216th Place, Sherwood, OR 97140 .

Telephone, telegraph and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on an Official AKC Entry Forms and without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner’s agent, or if the dog is entered in a class in which it is not eligible to compete. THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETENESS OF ANY ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH THE ENTRANT. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly.

The Secretary will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show, no refund of entry fees will be made.

Bitches that come into season after the closing date for entries may have the entry fee refunded less $6.00 per class upon written verification of a Veterinarian before the start of judging of the Trial on the day of the Trial the dog was entered.

RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. The Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agent may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis.

THIS CLUB DOES NOT AGREE TO ARBITRATE CLAIMS AS SET FORTH ON THE OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORM FOR THIS EVENT.

JUDGING: The judging will start promptly as specified in entry confirmation. Dogs may arrive anytime prior to their time of judging, and may leave immediately thereafter, unless required for further judging. The Club will not be responsible and are not obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of class judging. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the entrance of the judging ring when the steward calls for the class; it is not the responsibility of the ring steward to locate any dog, its owner or its agent when the dog’s presence is needed in the judging ring. Judges will NOT wait for any dog holding up a class.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS: Entries will be acknowledged after entries close, with acknowledgment and judging program sent to email address on entry. If you wish to receive a hard copy please send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Jill Faulmann, 20405 SW 216

DOGS IN UNVENTILATED VEHICLES All persons attending this dog event hereby waive any claim for damages against Mt Bachelor Kennel Club or its members, in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation.

LOSS OR DAMAGE: The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this Trial. The welfare of an Exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor.

CHILDREN: It is distinctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on the day of the trial. Parents are expected to accompany and supervise their children at all times.

AWARDS: Trophies and prizes will be awarded at the trial. No Award will be mailed.

LIABILITY: Mount Bachelor Kennel Club will do all possible to ensure the welfare of dogs and exhibitors alike, but do not assume responsibility nor liability in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dogs, exhibitors or spectators at these events. In the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from a life-threatening condition, the owner/handler/exhibitor of that dog and owner of the vehicle waives all claims for damages against the Mount Bachelor Kennel Club CLEAN UP INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE RINGS: The rings are the responsibility of the exhibitors. Your cooperation in exercising your dog before entering the ring will be appreciated. Exhibitors are expected to keep the area around their crates and vehicles clean, including cleanup in any and all parking areas. VENDORS: Mount Bachelor Kennel Club is not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors at event. EXHIBITOR RESPONSIBILITY: Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites and any communicable disease, and have appropriate vaccinations.

SMOKING: THE DESCHUTES FAIRGROUNDS IS A SMOKE- FREE FACILITY. No smoking allowed anywhere on the grounds.

TRANSFERS: Will be allowed at these Obedience and Rally Trials. Club May Cancel Events due to extreme weather conditions and/or possible of sudden Covid-19 restrictions implemented

RALLY RING SIZE will be 40 x 50 feet Stewards are not permitted to hold dogs during walk-throughs by exhibitors.

RV park, but want to remind exhibitors that, late check-outs are NOT guaranteed. Paying and staying for Sunday night will insure you do not need to move your RV by 11am on Sunday.

This area is for DRY CAMPING ONLY, ELECTRICITY may not available. ALL RVs MUST HAVE WORKING FIRE EXTINGUISHERS.

Requirements of the State of Oregon, Deschutes County authorities, Mt Bachelor Kennel Club and/or property owners may change in response to new COVID-19 information, these guidelines may be modified. This information is as of the time the Premium List and Entry Forms were published. Participants must be responsible for their personal hygiene and health. If you are not feeling well, please stay home. Hand Sanitizing stations will be available inside the Trial area. Individuals must be responsible for maintaining social distancing for themselves and their dogs in the building, in the dog walking areas, crating areas and parking lots and must a mask in the buildings and any social distancing is not guaranteed outdoors. Participants will be asked to leave if they do not follow club listed procedures or requests from trial officials.

Spectators are not allowed at this trial. Only Exhibitors and one other owner, spouse, significant other, etc. are allowed at this event. Be aware that you will be expected to show your dog and then exit the building. Please do not remain in the building after you have shown your dog.

At the Sign-In entrance you may be required to have your temperature taken and recorded. You will be given a wristband to be worn that will indicate to the gate steward that your team has been cleared in the building. This is also the indication that you may be in the building to Trial your dog. Those without wristbands will be asked to leave.

AGREEMENT I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.

Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting there from, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other persons. INSTRUCTIONS 1.(Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in., but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).

2.The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners' records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3.(Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rules refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)

CRATING RESERVATION FORM

Same day crating will be allowed, pending space, and CASH only. Each spot will be a 6x6 area. The spots will be marked off with chalk. Large fans will be running in the building and the doors will be open for ventilation. Limited power may be available, but it would be best to bring your own power source if you need to run an extra fan. Maximum of one to two exhibitors/owners per spot with their dog(s) to allow for social distancing. People wanting spots next to each other MUST send in their forms together, or one person can request multiple spots with their form.
