Canada/Bangkokbegin your exciting journey to the Orient with a

BangkokCross the international dateline; arrive in Bangkok in the evening, upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

BangkokTake the morning to explore on your own, and in the afternoon tour the Grand Palace. Within the Royal palace gates, you will visit the Dusit Hall which is home to monuments of the previous royal family. A visit to Thailand is not complete without seeing the famous Emerald buddha.

BangkokTake in a full day of Bangkok’s culture and history with a stop at busy Damnoen Saduak floating market, (Approx 80km southwest of Bangkok) this is Thailand’s largest and most colorful. Then continue on to the historic World Famous ‘Bridge on the River Kwai” built during World War II by prisoners of war.

Bangkok/Chiang Mai This morning take in a little of Bangkok’s rich history by visiting Vimarnmek Mansion, the gracious old residence of precious golden teak built in 1905 by King Rama V. In the afternoon, transfer from the hotel to the airport for your flight to Chiang Mai; upon arrival into Chiang Mai, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Chiang MaiEnjoy a full day tour of the northern Thailand culture. Starting with a visit to Doi Suthep Temple (3500ft. above sea level), here you will enjoy breathtaking views of Chiang Mai. On the drive down you will stop in to visit White Meo Hilltribe Village, to end the day with learning about the production of Thai Silk.

Chiang MaiLeave early this morning for elephant trekking and bamboo rafting. Start the day with a drive to Chiang Dao young elephant training camp where you will observe their training. Then embark on an elephant ride into the jungle. After lunch at a local restaurant you will trek down the Ping River with bamboo rafts, to end the day with a visit to Chiang Dao Caves.

Chiang Mai/Bangkok/Manohra Song River CruiseSay goodbye to northern Thailand and transfer to the airport for your flight to Bangkok. upon arrival to bangkok you will be met and transferred to Manohra Song Pier. Once on board the “Manohra Song River Cruise” you will embark on the “The River of Kings” in luxury and comfort. The boat is a solid teak hull and features air-conditioning, queen-size beds, en-suite bathrooms, expansive saloon living, and sun-deck lounging. First visit would be a Royal Barge Museum which is home to decorated boats, then on to Koh Kret; an island that known for its fine clay earthenware pots. End the day by relaxing and enjoying the Thai cuisine.

Manohra Song River CruiseIt’s an early start to join in with the Monks of

Ayutthaya, where a continental breakfast is served. Next stop at Wat Phanancheng, a uNESCO World Heritage site, where you will be picked up by limo to tour around the site for the full views. You will end your day back on the river for the night.

Manohra Song River Cruise/Bangkok/PattayaWake up to the taste of a full English breakfast and join a guided tour of Wat Nivat, one of the more fascinating Buddhist temples. On to Bang Sai Royal Folk Arts and Crafts Centre for a little shopping. Finish the day with a quick stop at Wat Poh Tong bon to feed the fish, then back to bangkok to disem-bark at approximately 6:30PM. You will be met and transferred to your hotel in Pattaya for some beach time.

PattayaSpend these days relaxing in the sun.

Afterwards a delicious Malay dinner is served in a typical local restaurant followed by a traditional Cultural performance.

Kuala LumpurThis morning you will spend the day in Kuala Lumpur by visiting the Jame Mosque, the War Memorial, the Federal Courts, the Railway Station and the King’s Palace. In the evening travel to Kuala Selangor Nature park for a visit to a typical Malaysian fishing town. After a delicious Chinese seafood dinner, you will board a small boat and travel upstream where you can see thousands of fireflies flickering in mangrove trees along the banks of the river.

Kuala Lumpur / PenangIn the morning transfer from the hotel to the airport for

This evening, join in on a trip to Pasar Malam, an open-air night flea market where you take time to do some shopping. After, proceed to a specialty Northern Indian Cuisine restaurant housed in a rustic colonial building for some authentic Indian food.

PenangToday you will experience the historical inner enclave of Georgetown, stopping at the Kuan Yin Temple, the Kapitan Kling Mosque, Cannon Square and the Khoo Kongsi Clan House. Lunch will be served at a century old Hainanese Chicken Rice shop of the Lim family. The balance of the day is free to explore.

PenangThis morning depart for a tour to the Campbell Street Market with Nyonya Lin See. The Campbell Street Market, built around 1900, greets every morning with fervor as traders and sellers bustle around in the early morning. This is a special tour as Nyonya Lin See will personally accompany you to the wet market explaining the sights, while purchasing all the necessary ingredients to cook a Nyonya lunch for you at her restaurant. The balance of day is free time.

Siem ReapThis morning we visit the “Great City” of Angkor Thom, which is considered to resemble the most opulent European culture in the late 12th Century. This is most apparent with stops at the Royal City of Preah Khan (which features fabulous carved stone lanterns and impressive sculptures), Neak Pean – a shrine built on a small circular island, Ta Som, East Mebon with attractive decorations on false doors and lintels, and Preah Rup with great views from the top terrace. Late reservatgions may be accepted, subject to availability, and only if the participant can obtain required visas prior to departure, there will be a charge for the delivery of documents by express mail/courier.

DepositA deposit of CAD$30.00 per person is re-quired at the time a booking is confirmed. Res-ervations will be cancelled if a deposit is not received by PREMIERE TOuRS within 10 days of confirmation.

Balance of PaymentThe balance of payment must be received by PREMIERE TOuRS in no less than 60 days prior to departure. Failure to comply will result in automatic cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of deposits.

Travel DocumentsAll tour participants must hold a valid pass-port. Passports must be valid for at least six months after the scheduled return date of the tour. A visa is required for travel to the People’s Republic of China.

Please note that tour participants may re-quire additional visas for other countries. Consult your travel agent at the time of booking.

IMPORTANT: CLIENTS MUST MAKE THEIR OWN ARRANGEMENTS TO OB-TAIN VISAS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. Visa costs are NOT INCLUDED in the tour price.

Health RequirementsTour participants must be in good physi-cal and mental health. Some walking is involved in visiting temples, ruins, palaces and other attractions. Some programs are more strenuous than others, consult your travel agent to select an appropriate tour. At the time of printing, there are no health certificates or inoculations required for entry into cities included in the tour itineraries. However, tour participants are advised to check with their Travel Agent or the appropriate consulates at the time of reservation.

Cancellations

A charge of CAD $50.00 per person will be levied for any cancellation received 90 days or more prior to departure. Thereafter, the following cancellation penalties will apply:

Refunds on Unused or Changed Tour Arrangements All unused services and tour arrangements, including hotel accomodations, ground transportation, domestic or internation-al flights, sightseeing tours and special fea-tures are neither refundable nor exchange-able. Tour participation is not transferable without the written confirmation of PRE-MIERE TOuRS.

InsuranceWe strongly recommend that all tour partic-ipants purchase trip cancellation, hospital, medical and baggage insurance. Contact your travel agent for more information.

Optional Tours and ExtensionsPREMIERE TOuRS offers a variety of option\it’s regular programs. All optional tours and extensions must be paid for in full prior to departure. Any cancellations received less that 30 days prior to departure will be subject to CAD$100.00 per person service charge, plus any non-refundable charges levied by suppliers. Cancellation after de-parture will be non-refundable. Insurance is strongly recommended. Claims for reim-bursement of refund must be received by PREMIERE TOuRS within 60 days of conclu-sion of the scheduled tour.

Not IncludedPassport and visa fees, health certificate charges, medical expenses, shots and inoc-ulations, laundry, telephone calls (domestic or international), room service, tips to room service personnel, wine, beer, liquor and other beverages, insurance and excess bag-gage charges. Also not included are: foreign government and/or airport taxes, such as airport embarkation taxes for cities in itin-erary. VISA FEES WHERE REQuIRED.Taxes and Tips

All hotel taxes and service charges (except room service), airport and hotel porterage, are included. Tour members are responsible for taxes and gratuities incurred during op-tional extensions and/or deviations. Airport departure taxes, customs and immigration fees are NOT included.

AccommodationDeluxe and Superior Class accommodation will be used and is based on two persons sharing a twin-bedded room with private facilities. Single accommodation is avail-able; supplement charges are indicated in the brochure. Please note that a single room supplement pays for single room oc-cupancy only. PREMIERE TOuRS reserve the right to substitute hotels, when necessary, from those indicated in the brochure. Hotel accommodations in some Chinese cities are arranged by CITS and are subject to change without notice.

MealsOn China tours, some meals are included in the tour package. Breakfasts are Western-style; luncheon and dinner Chinese-style. On all other tours meals are provided as per itinerary. All beverages, such as soft drinks and liquor, are the responsability of tour participants. Some meals are served on air-line flights when flying during meal times.

Domestic TransportationAll flights and boat schedules are subject to change without notice. In China, all domes-tic transportation is controlled by CITS.

Transfers and ToursAll transfers to and from the airport/pier and the hotel are included in the land costs.

Baggage HandlingPREMIERE TOuRS assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged baggage. On trans-Pa-cific economy flights, a baggage allowance of up to two suitcases with combined over-all dimensions not exceeding 107 inches, and no single piece exceeding 62 inches, is provided for. Handling of one piece of lug-gage is included. Surcharges are due to overweight, oversized or extra bags are the responsability of tour participants.

ResponsabilitiesPREMIERE TOuRS acts only as the agent and/or intermediary for independent suppli-ers. PREMIERE TOuRS assumes no respon-sability or liability for any injury, damage, loss, or accident with any services result-ing directly, or indirectly, from acts of God, strikes, war declared or undeclared, gov-ernment regulations, thefts, failure of any means, discrepancies or changes over which it has no control. Reasonable changes ub the itinerary may be made when necessary for the comfort nd safety of the tour partici-pants. The right is also reserved to decline, accept or retain any person as a tour mem-ber at any time. The airline companies are not to be held responsible for any act, omis-sion or event during the time passengers are not on board their plane or conveyance. The passenger contract in use by the carri-ers concerned when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the purchase of this tour and/or passen-gers. The operator shall no be responsible for any delays, substitutions of equipment or any act of omission whatsoever by the carrier, its agents, servants and employees, and the participant hereby waives any claim arising therefrom. The right of the partici-pant is reserved to claims against the car-rier. All claims against tour operators must be filed in writing within 60 days of tour completion.
