Hello LSAT Student! Depending on your familiarity with the test and how much time you have to study, you may require anywhere from a few weeks to several months to achieve your goal score. Since no two students are identical, we’ve provided you with three model LSAT Study Plans to guide you on the best way to spend your time before Test Day arrives. I. 6Week Study Plan II. 4Week Study Plan III. 2Week Study Plan The 6Week plan covers all of the material in the book and all of the online assets. The 4Week and 2Week plans start stripping away some of the content and assets, so help you (1) target your practice to those areas that carry the most weight on the exam and (2) focus on areas you’re most likely to improve on in the limited time frame. If you have more than 6 weeks, simply spread out the 6Week plan to accommodate your longer timeframe. You may also acquire additional PrepTests to use for sectionlength and fulllength practice in the final weeks. Your book and online resources contain PrepTests 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, and 62. None of these plans is likely to fit your exact schedule; the number of weeks, number of hours per day, and general pace of progress will vary from student to student. The more time you can put into efficient practice the better. Feel free to take more or less time than suggested. The important goals of your practice are to gain proficiency with the content and strategies you’ll learn and to acquire the confidence to apply that proficiency. Some general notes on these study plans – Make sure you review general advice on how to study for the LSAT on p. 914 of your book. Use the Prepare, Practice, Perform designations in each topic area as a comprehensive unit. So, once you’ve completed all the Prepare and Practice material, then go ahead and tackle the Perform. For fulllength tests, try to take them at a day and time commensurate with when your actual Test Day will be. Do not take a fulllength exam the day before your actual Test Day. As you complete questions, games, and passages, spend the time to review the accompanying explanations. Explanations for Question Pools are in the book; explanations for full tests can be found online. The explanations for the Logic Games in Chapter 6 are in the book and select games also have video explanations in your Online Center. Try to keep one day a week LSATfree. The 6Week and 4Week study plans show the amount of material to be covered each week, but we recommend you take one day per week to give your mind a break from the rigors of preparing for the test. Enter the answer choices from your fulllength exams into Smart Reports and review your results. If you’re completing a test sectionbysection, wait until you’ve completed the four scored (nonexperimental) sections and then enter all of your responses at one time. Smart Reports will display your scores and results, tracking your performance and breaking down your personal strengths and weaknesses. If you find that you are unable to keep pace with the study schedule, consider o Skipping select Practice questions listed under Prepare, but still completing the Perform assignments, and/or o Using the results from Smart Reports to focus on the areas in which you need the most training However, DO NOT forgo review of explanations of questions you’ve completed just to get through more questions. Explanation review is key. If you have access to additional LSAT PrepTests, feel free to supplement your practice with additional Timing and Endurance practice, but heed our advice on doing more than just taking fulllength tests. Mastery and Timing practice will build the skills prerequisite to Test Day success. Let’s do this! LSAT STUDY PLANS

  • Hello LSAT Student! Depending on your familiarity with the test and how much time you have to study, you may require anywhere from a few weeks to several months to achieve your goal score. Since no two students are identical, weve provided you with three model LSAT Study Plans to guide you on the best way to spend your time before Test Day arrives.

    I. 6-Week Study Plan II. 4-Week Study Plan III. 2-Week Study Plan

The 6-Week plan covers all of the material in the book and all of the online assets. The 4-Week and 2-Week plans start stripping away some of the content and assets, so help you (1) target your practice to those areas that carry the most weight on the exam and (2) focus on areas youre most likely to improve on in the limited time frame. If you have more than 6 weeks, simply spread out the 6-Week plan to accommodate your longer timeframe. You may also acquire additional PrepTests to use for section-length and full-length practice in the final weeks. The important goals of your practice are to gain proficiency with the content and strategies youll learn and to acquire the confidence to apply that proficiency. Some general notes on these study plans

Make sure you review general advice on how to study for the LSAT on p. 9-14 of your book. Use the Prepare, Practice, Perform designations in each topic area as a comprehensive unit. So, once youve completed all the Prepare and Practice

material, then go ahead and tackle the Perform. For full-length tests, try to take them at a day and time commensurate with when your actual Test Day will be. Do not take a full-length exam the day before your actual Test Day.

As you complete questions, games, and passages, spend the time to review the accompanying explanations. Explanations for Question Pools are in the book; explanations for full tests can be found online. The explanations for the Logic Games in Chapter 6 are in the book and select games also have video explanations in your Online Center.

Try to keep one day a week LSAT-free. The 6-Week and 4-Week study plans show the amount of material to be covered each week, but we recommend you take one day per week to give your mind a break from the rigors of preparing for the test.

Enter the answer choices from your full-length exams into Smart Reports and review your results. If youre completing a test section-by-section, wait until youve completed the four scored (non-experimental) sections and then enter all of your responses at one time. Smart Reports will display your scores and results, tracking your performance and breaking down your personal strengths and weaknesses.

If you find that you are unable to keep pace with the study schedule, consider o Skipping select Practice questions listed under Prepare, but still completing the Perform assignments, and/or o Using the results from Smart Reports to focus on the areas in which you need the most training However, DO NOT forgo review of explanations of questions youve completed just to get through more questions. Explanation review is key.

If you have access to additional LSAT PrepTests, feel free to supplement your practice with additional Timing and Endurance practice, but heed our advice on doing more than just taking full-length tests. Mastery and Timing practice will build the skills prerequisite to Test Day success.
