The Seattle Seahawks expect big things from quarterback Russell Wilson in his second year as the teams starter. Now thanks to a partnership with Russell Investments, Wilson has even more incentive to rack up as many touchdowns as possible this season for the Seahawks.Wilson and Russell Investments, an asset management firm headquartered in Seattle, have partnered together to created a charitable program entitled Invested with Russell.

For each touchdown running or passing scored by Wilson this season, Russell Investments will donate $2,000 to Wilsons charitable foundation. Wilsons foundation supports youth activities for communities in need. The actual charities that will benefit from the donations will be announced at the end of the season.Wilson accounted for 30 touchdowns as rookie last season with 26 passing touchdowns and four rushing touchdowns. If he repeats that performance this year, hell raise $60,000 toward his foundation.

  • AJ McCarron has blossomed during his career at Alabama from being recognized as strictly a game manager over his first two seasons to now being seen as a total quarterback entering his senior campaign. The 64 214lbs signal caller from Mobile, AL, had an incredible junior season in 2012 passing for 2,933 yards and 30 touchdowns while completing 67.2% of his attempts and tossing just three interceptions. McCarrons signature game last season came on the biggest stage in the BCS National Championship Game versus Notre Dame where he completed 20 of his 28 attempts for 264 yards and four touchdowns while leading his team to a 42-14 shellacking over the Fighting Irish. The 2013 season is proving to be another great year for McCarron as he looks to lead the Tide to a third consecutive BCS Title.

  • Braxton Miller had a tremendous season in 2012 and placed his name amongst the best players who are currently competing on the collegiate level. This 62 215 lbs junior from Hubbert Heights, OH, is a dual threat who not only possesses a very strong arm but can also run exceptionally fast and rack up first downs with either of the two. In 2012, Miller passed for 2,039 yards and 15 touchdowns but also rushed for an additional 1,271 yards on 227 carries and 13 trips to the end zone. His brightest moment last season came in a 52-49 victory at Indiana where the quarterback passed for 211 yards and two touchdowns while also carrying the rock 23 times for 149 yards and a score. This season with the probation stench gone from Urban Myers program, Miller should shine while leading the Buckeyes through the Big Ten.

  • In 2012, Marcus Mariota put together a tremendous year for a freshman quarterback passing for 2,677 yards, 32 touchdowns and just six interceptions while completing 68.5% of his attempts; not to mention he also rushed for 752 yards and five touchdowns on just 106 carries. If it werent for a certain Heisman-winning freshman QB, Mariota would have been the first-year signal caller garnering all of the national attention. Mariotas finest game came during a 62-51 victory at USC where he completed 20 of his 23 attempts for 304 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for 96 yards on 15 carries. This 64 211lbs sophomore from Honolulu, HI, will face some adversity this season. With his former head coach Chip Kelly gone to the NFL as the Philadelphia Eagles top guy, everyone in the college football world will look to see if former offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich can make a smooth transition into the head spot. So far, its been very smooth.

  • It seems as if Aaron Murray has been in school forever and now he will get his time to shine bright during his final year at Georgia. Murray has already eclipsed the 10,000 yards passing and 90 touchdowns marks during his first three seasons as a Bulldog and now he will look to lead them to an SEC crown and possibly beyond. Last season the 61 208lbs signal caller from Tampa, FL, passed for 3,893 yards, 36 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions while completing 64.5% of his passes, but the team itself had a bit of a disappointing season. Murrays best game last year came in a 29-22 win at Kentucky where he passed for 427 yards and four touchdowns while completing 30 of his 38 pass attempts. In 2013, Murray will look to put together not only a stellar year for his team in the toughest conference in the FBS but also to make his NFL Draft resume appear even stronger. The Dogs got off to a bad start with a lost against Clemson but their win against LSU appears to have them still in the hunt for the title.

  • In 2012 Johnny Manziel took the world of college football by storm, becoming the first freshman to ever win the coveted Heisman Trophy. The 61 210lbs quarterback from Kerrville, TX, known as Johnny Football, passed for 3,706 yards and 26 touchdowns while completing 68% of his pass attempts also rushed for 1,410 yards and 21 end zone trips on 201 carries. Manziel can do it all on the field and has also proven to be great on-camera as he has made an abundance of television appearances since leaping into the spotlight last season. His signature moment last season was without question when he led his Aggies over Alabama. However, his best game may have been during the AT&T Cotton Bowl versus Oklahoma where he passed for 287 yards and two scores and ran for an additional 229 yards and two more scores. He got past the alleged autograph signing scandal but could not get past the Crimson Tide in College Station. Yet, he is still a joy to watch.

  • South Carolina Gamecocks junior defensive end Jadeveon Clowney may just be the most NFL-ready prospect to have graced college football in quite some time and possibly in its history. At 66 274lbs this man-child from Rock Hill, SC, runs the 40-yard dash in just under 4.5 seconds and is so strong during a South Carolina practice on August 4, he flipped over a tackling sled. Last season Clowney recorded 54 tackles, 13 sacks, 23.5 tackles for a loss, two pass deflections, recovered one fumble and forced three. His finest game in 2012 came when he racked up seven tackles and 4.5 sacks in a 27-17 victory at Clemson. Clowneys standout moment came during the Outback Bowl when he preformed the most unbelievable hit that anyone has seen at the college level on Michigan running back Vincent Smith, leaving the back helmetless and football-less at the same time! There is no question that this young man should be the number one overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft but in the meantime hes going to terrorize SEC backfields.

  • Sammy Watkins burst onto the season for the Clemson Tigers in 2011 as one of the top freshman wideouts that year (82 receptions for 1,219 yards and 12 TD). However, he had a down season in 2012 due to injury, illness and off the field issues (57 receptions for 708 yards and 3 TD). The 61 205 lbs wide receiver from Ft. Myers, FL, enters his junior season looking to get back on track and should do so, barring any unforeseen incidents, just based on his talent level alone. He is extremely fast, is a good route runner and has a great set of hands which are three of the key essentials in being a big-time wideout on any level. Watkins best performance last year came during a 42-13 victory at Wake Forest where he hauled in eight passes for 202 yards and a score displaying those aforementioned attributes.

  • When people mention the top quarterbacks currently in the college game many omit Louisvilles junior signal caller Teddy Bridgewater, but they shouldnt. This 63 196lbs QB from Miami, FL, could just be the best one. Bridgewater is an amazing passer who possesses both pin-point accuracy as well as a strong arm and is also a great decision maker with the football along with being a tremendous athlete. Last season Bridgewater passed for 3,718 yards, 27 touchdowns and just eight interceptions while completing 68.5% of his pass attempts. His signature game came against Cincinnati in a 34-31 overtime victory where he passed for 416 yards and two touchdowns. If Teddy Bridgewater isnt on your radar yet, youve better place him there quick before he unexpectedly torches your favorite school.

  • Jeremy Smith is a solid and stout running back for the Oklahoma State Cowboys who was slowed last season by a nagging foot injury but should bounce back nicely during his senior campaign of 2013. In 2012 the 510 208lbs back from Tulsa, OK, produced just 371 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 70 carries while making three receptions for 32 yards, but this season big things are expected from him. Smiths signature game last year came in a loss at Arizona when the back showed flashes of what he was capable of, carrying the football eight times for 77 yards and scoring a touchdown.

  • In 2012 Texas Longhorns quarterback David Ash put together a fine season which now has him listed amongst the top 10 signal callers in college football today. The 63 233lbs junior quarterback from Belton, TX, passed for 2,699 yards, 19 touchdowns and just eight interceptions while completing 67.3% of his pass attempts once he was finally given the starting job on a full-time basis by head coach Mack Brown. Ash may not have as strong of an arm as some of the other quarterbacks amongst the bunch but he is accurate and poised and those are two very important qualities for a QB to have. His best game last year came in a 33-7 victory over Iowa State where he passed for 364 yards and two touchdowns while completing 25 of the 31 passes that he attempted. The Longhorns had a much tougher game against the Cyclones this season in which they escaped with a one point victory after Ash dove in the game-tying TD.

  • When it comes to forgotten quarterbacks in the nation Boise States Joe Southwick might just be the prime example of one. The 61 202lbs senior out of Danville, CA, is entering his final year as a member of the Broncos but just last season became the full-time starter for head coach Chris Peterson. During last season Southwick put up some pretty solid numbers passing for 2,730 yards, 19 touchdowns and just seven interceptions while completing 66.8% of his pass attempts. Southwicks best game in 2012 occurred in a 32-29 road victory at New Mexico where the quarterback passed for 311 yards and three scores while connecting on 24 of his 34 attempts. If he can put together a similar season or even improve on it this year then not only could the NFL be in his future but also maybe a legitimate chance at bringing home some awards like this one.

  • Jason Verrett is the sole defensive back to make our preseason nominees for the 2013 Premier Player of College Football award but he most certainly has a great chance at winning it. Verrett is a 510 176lbs senior from Fairfield, CA, who not only can play the pass extremely well but can also step up and deliver a solid hit on a ball carrier. In 2012 Verrett recorded 63 tackles, six interceptions, 22 pass deflections and five tackles for a loss which are pretty solid numbers for any cornerback. He has great speed (4.38 40-yard dash), good ball skills, great hands for his position and is a sure tackler. His best game last season came against Michigan State in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl where he recorded 12 tackles and had two pass deflections in the Horned Frogs 17-16 loss.

  • UCLA sophomore quarterback Brett Hundley is another young quarterback who put together a tremendous season during his initial year in college football in 2012. Last season Hundley passed 3,745 yards, 29 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while completing 66.6% of his attempts. The one area of concern for Hundley, however, is the fact that he was sacked an unbelievable 52 times. In order to get that number down he is going to have to learn how to get rid of the ball quicker and his offensive line will have to give him more time to make decisions and throw. The 63 222lbs quarterback from Chandler, AZ, had his best game during a 36-30 victory over Nebraska where he outdueled Taylor Martinez and passed for 305 yards and four touchdowns while completing 21 of 33 passes.

  • In 2012 Vernic Mack became a first-time starter for Northwestern and the 58 175lbs scat-back from Tomball, TX, did not disappoint at all carrying the football 226 times for 1,366 yards and 12 touchdowns. Mack also caught 20 passes out of the backfield for 104 additional yards and another trip to the end zone. His finest outing came at Minnesota in a tough 21-13 road victory for the Wildcats where he rushed for a career-high 182 yards and two touchdowns on 20 attempts which equaled 9.1 yards per carry. This season, with having a full year under his belt as a starter, big things are expected in the Big Ten out of Mr. Mack and the rest of his Wildcat teammates.

  • James White is an incredible running back and has been throughout his entire career at Wisconsin but the only problem was he was second on the Badgers depth chart to the FBS record holder for all-time rushing touchdowns Montee Ball. White is a 510 197lbs senior from Fort Lauderdale, FL, who this season will be the featured back in Wisconsins backfield which means he will definitely see an increase in the 125 carries that he received last season. White did the most anyone could expect with those carries as he recorded 806 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 6.4 yards per carry along with catching eight receptions out of the backfield for 132 yards and a score. Whites best game came in a 38-13 blowout over Minnesota where he had 15 carries for 175 yards and made three trips to the end zone. This season will without question be a breakout one for White which should have him climbing up the stat sheets as well as the NFL Draft board.

  • The USC Trojans always seem to have one of the top wide receivers in the nation and right now junior Marqise Lee is that guy. At 60 195lbs, Lee has good size and speed on the outside which makes the Inglewood, CA, product a threat on the deep ball and going across the middle as well. Last season Lee hauled in 118 receptions for 1,721 yards and 14 touchdowns giving him an average of 14.6 yards per reception which is pretty impressive. Lee also carried the ball out of the backfield 13 times for another 106 yards. His best performance of 2012 without question came in a tough 39-36 road loss for the Trojans at Arizona where Lee caught 16 passes for a school record 345 yards and two touchdowns. Lee also had seven other games besides that one where he eclipsed the 100-yard total which makes him a consistent threat at wide-out. The Trojans have had a tough season with injuries, losses and the firing of their head coach, but Lees play can provide some great relief to USC fans once he makes it back onto the field.

  • With a name like Storm Woods you know the guy must be powerful and that is exactly what this 60 197lbs running back out of Pflugerville, TX, is. The Beavers sophomore running back had a great first season last year at Oregon State rushing for 940 yards and 13 touchdowns on just 192 carries while also hauling in 38 receptions for 313 yards out of the backfield. Woods size, power and speed makes a him a very valuable option for the Beavers out of the backfield and this season with a year of collegiate action under his belt he should be that much more of a force to be reckoned with. Last season his best effort came in a 38-35 road win at Arizona where he rushed for 161 yards and a score on 29 carries and also caught four passes for 42 yards.

  • Will Sutton plays a position in defensive tackle where it is normally not glorified in any type of way. However, the way that this young man plays the position makes even casual football fans take notice and say who is that guy. The 61 288lbs D-Tackle from Corona, CA, is a bit smaller than the prototypical guy who plays up the middle but what he may lack in size he makes up for it in determination, skill and flat-out hustle. Last season Sutton was named a consensus All-American after recording 63 tackles, 13 sacks, 23.5 tackles for a loss, five pass deflections and three fumbles forced. His best game occurred during a 27-17 road victory at California where he recorded nine tackles and three sacks against a pretty solid offensive line.

  • Taylor Martinez is yet another dual threat signal caller on the collegiate level who can make plenty of noise and should have a tremendous 2013 campaign. The 61 210lbs senior from Corona, CA, has all of the tools you look for out of a mobile quarterback (good arm, accurate and has quick feet) which is why is he mentioned with the best in the game today. Last season Martinez passed for 2,871 yards and 23 touchdowns while completing 62% of his pass attempts along with rushing for 1,019 yards and 10 touchdowns on 195 carries. His best game in 2012 came at Northwestern where he passed for 342 yards and three touchdowns and ran for an additional 65 yards and a score on 18 carries while leading the Cornhuskers to a narrow 29-28 road victory. Martinez is poised for a terrific final season at Nebraska and he certainly will need one to improve his stock for the upcoming 2014 NFL Draft.

  • Senior quarterback Derek Carr is the younger brother of former Fresno State Bulldogs signal caller and one-time number one overall NFL draft-pick David Carr. The younger Carr is hoping to one day reach the NFL like his brother did but possibly have a better career than him, but in the meantime he has one more season left to go at Fresno State. In 2012 Carr had an incredible season passing for 4,104 yards, 37 touchdowns and just seven interceptions while completing 67.3% of his attempts. His best performance came in a 52-40 victory over San Diego State where he passed for an amazing 536 yards and five touchdowns while completing 42 of his 55 attempts. In total last season the 63 218lbs Bakersfield, CA, quarterback eclipsed the 400-yards passing mark in a game on three occasions.
