……….
North Pole
(90°N)
South Pole
(90°S)
South Pole is one of the two points where the Earth's axis of rotation intersects its surface. It is the southernmost point on the surface of the Earth and lies on the opposite side of the Earth from the North Pole.
Defined as the point in the Northern Hemisphere where the Earth's axis of rotation meets its surface. The North Pole is the northernmost point on the Earth. It defines geodetic latitude 90° North, as well as the direction of true north.
Till date a total of 38 people have done this project .
Unfortunately the list still doesn't include any Indian name.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Explorers_Grand_Slam
Out of 7.137 bn people living on this planet , a mere 38 have had the
honour of cherishing this exclusiveness.
And out of 1.2 bn people in India, this project has never been brought
under the proud ambit of Indian mountaineering and exploration.
While the list of Mount Everest climbers boasts of a gigantic 4000,
the list of grand slammers is not even 1% of that number.
Exclusiveness of the project
This expedition aims at becoming India’s first and the only till date Grand Slam in the field of Mountaineering. Bringing this title home has been a dream of every Indian mountaineer but hasn’t been achieved yet.
The expedition is scheduled to happen between 2013 and 2015 and because of its audacity and magnitude, has the potential of becoming a mainstream global news story with significant, positive and long lasting brand and product exposure for the Naming Rights Sponsors.
1st half of the expedition has already been completed with the team having climbed Mount Everest(Asia), Mount Elbrus(Europe), Mount Aconcagua(South America) and Mount Carstensz Pyramid(Oceania) and all of this within a short span of 7 months.
The team has a 100% success rate till now .
The Objective
The Climber- Prem Kumar Singh
Peaks Climbed So Far
Mount Everest-
The highest Peak on the surface of planet earth was climbed on May 19th 2013 marking the beginning of the project. Standing majestically at 8848m above sea level this mountain poses the highest amount of challenge with its subzero temperature, high winds and extreme altitude.

Peaks Climbed So Far
Mount Aconcagua
The highest peak of the continent of South America boasts of a notoriously temperamental weather, which can go wild in a matter of seconds and it did.
The expedition had to brave wind speed in excess of 100kmph at times to get to the summit of it.
Status: Summited
Peaks Climbed So Far
Mount Elbrus-
The highest peak in the continent of Europe has always been the windiest of the seven summits and our expedition was no different.
The team had to literally “Battle” the icy winds and spin drifts for over 10 hours to get to the summit.
Status: Summited
Peaks Climbed So Far
Mount Carstensz Pyramid-
The highest peak in the continent of Oceania lies in the remotest corner of the planet in the island of Papua New Guinea. Called the toughest trek in the world, the approach to the base camp itself demands walking in a tropical rain forest in knee deep muck for 5 days

In the past 10 years, global communication has become extraordinarily advanced and these advances now enable a world-wide audience to follow and interact with expeditions in unique locations across the globe. This fact, coupled with what are know as Extreme or Action sports, are now mainstream and valuable advertising and sponsorship options. This makes ‘Explorer’s Grand Slam’ expedition an unique promotional vehicle.

The use of computers, PDAs and smart phones will be at the core of the expedition’s communication package and with specialized software (contact 5) will allow:
•Regular expedition updates from the mountain
•Real time video feed
•Interactive Google maps outlining the expedition’s progress.
•Helmet cam footage of the expedition.
The expedition team will have access to contact 5 software needed to optimize the communication options available from the field and also promote the expedition to a global audience of opinion influencers at the highest level.
