PHOTOGRAPHS FOR MY SCHOOL

MAGAZINE

MAIN BACKGROUND PICTURE

This is a picture of the main school hall. I have decided to use this as it is recognisable to all students within the school. I have used a medium shot so it fits most of the hall in the photo. However I will be cropping the image in order for it to fit on my font cover which will be A4 size. This image shows that the magazine is aimed towards students and is a magazine based on school. The image is being used as a background image for the front coveras I am going to add subsidiary images which relate to the cover lines over the background image.

FRONT COVER IMAGES

The front cover images I am using relate to the cover lines on the front cover. They will intrigue the audience as they show what will be inside the magazine and also what is happening within their school. The magazine will be aimed at all years in secondary school, this is shown through the images I am using for my front cover. For example one of the images I have taken is a medium close up of a year 7, another image is of a poster showing ‘life in the sixth form’. As the images relate to the target audience, they are likely to pick up and buy the magazine.

CONTENTS PAGE IMAGES

I am using these 4 images for my school magazine contents page. They show what my magazine has to offer. They relate to the features column on my magazines contents page . For example, the first photo shown above is going to link to the cover line ‘ teambuilding week’. The second photo will link in with the cover line 'sixth form taster day’. The third photo shown above will relate to the cover line 'year 11 art exhibition’ . The last photo shown above will link to the cover line ‘extra curriculum activities’.
