How the images were altered• The CVI I used was a

photo of a peer I took.

• I used the Magnetic Lasso

Tool to remove her from

the background she was

originally on.

• I enlarged her image to fit

the idea of the layout I had

in mind for where the copy

were going to go.

• I also decided to make the

background the same

colour as her lipstick

colour in order to maintain

a consistent colour

scheme.

Why pick this fontI picked this typography

because I thought it would

be easier for it to stand out

against the rest of the

typography that I was

planning on using. This

meant that not only would

it be easier to distinguish

between the mastheads

importance and the copy's

importance but also the

typography is very easy to

spot. By this I mean that it

can be

Effects on the picturesAll the images have been feathered in order to create the look

of the images fading out on its edges. This is done by using the

Rectangular Marquee Tool to outline the image leaving a small

gap (like a border), before this step I set the Feather box at the

top to my preferred number. Then when the image is dragged, it

becomes clear that the edges have been feathered.

Effects on the pictures

I felt that the feathered effect would be a

more subtle approach to attracting the

readers attention as it gives a more gentle

feel compared the just straight sharp lines.
