With more than 120 affiliates in its global, luxury real estate net-work, Christie’s International Real Estate has named EWM Realty

International its Affiliate of the Year for 2012.

The award was presented at a Miami Beach gala dinner that took place in February as part

of the network’s Global Annual Conference for owners and senior management. EWM Presi-dent Ron Shuffield accepted the honor on be-half of the company.

Since being awarded affiliate status in 2001,

EWM has served as a fundamental member of the Christie’s International Real Estate net-work, comprised of more than 25,000 real estate professionals in 41 coun-tries. Throughout 2012, EWM spearheaded the network’s participation as the “Exclusive Luxury Real Estate Sponsor” for

the Art Miami and Art Wynwood fairs.

Founded in 1964, EWM has 10 offices and more than 800 sales associates and staff in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

The resurgence of South Florida’s high-end residential real estate market con-tinues for EWM Realty International, which is reporting record sales of single-family homes and condominiums in ex-cess of one million dollars. During 2012, EWM closed on 377 homes and condos priced at $1 million-plus in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties -- an average of

more than one luxury residence sale ev-ery 24 hours during 2012. Sales of this volume, and at this price-point, indicate improved consumer confidence and an appreciation for the values to be found in South Florida.

In another example of the powerful synergies between high-end art and luxury real estate, Christie’s Interna-tional Real Estate served as the “Official Luxury Real

Estate Partner” of the highly successful Art Wynwood fair in February. Art Miami’s sister fair presented more than 70 international galleries that featured emerging, contemporary and modern works. Christie’s represen-tatives held a strong presence throughout the event and hosted a well-attended reception.
