BACKGROUND AND MOTIVATIONState Electricity Company (PLN), as an official institution to provide electrical energy on Indonesia, still can not supply the energy through Indonesia Geographic condition, low demand of the energy, and the high cost as obstacles for supplying the system development.
![Page 4: Pre-Study Service on Feasibility of Wind Energy Potential 1.2](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022062302/58780a911a28ab971e8b591f/html5/thumbnails/4.jpg)
BACKGROUND AND MOTIVATIONHaving an issue that Fossil energy, one of the main component and resource to provide Energy in Indonesia, has reached its limits.

Renewable energy become an Alternatif solution to provide and supply the energy needs through Life!
Renewable Energy is :• Reducing the dependecy on Fossil Energy
• Supplying Energy through local and regional scale• Clean and Green Energy which reducing GHG
emission• Reducing the amount of Energy subsidy (which
consume 20% of State budget)• Using the potential of local energy resources

WaSP v.10 SoftwareWAsP is a powerful – yet simple to use – PC software for estimating the annual energy production (AEP) from wind turbines and wind farms. It contains tools and models for all steps in the process from assessment of wind resource to the wind turbines AEP and can be used all over the world – in all kinds of terrain.

• Due to Electrical needs and Issues, we need to develop power plant on this Areas (Banten)
• Banten has good potential due to its wind speed average, and we can develop Medium and High-class wind turbine on it.
• According to wind power equation, the Income Potential of wind energy is 1.069 MWh or 16.036 MWd
• We can reduce 1.076 tons CO2/hour or 9,434 tons CO2/ year.
