Pre-School

The Pre-School Summer Camp offers a variety of activitiesfor children aged three to five years.In addition to drama-based language camps taught byexperienced ISF teachers in the morning, the school alsooffers co-curricular activity (CCA) camps taught by ISFteachers and outsourced CCA instructors in theafternoon. The CCA camps help children explore theirinterests and enhance their knowledge and skills in areassuch as science, technology and engineering, cooking, art,music, dance, language arts, yoga and chess. Students whojoin both the morning and afternoon sessions may stay atschool to enjoy their packed lunch. Kwoon Chung MotorsCompany Ltd. will offer school bus services during thesummer camp period.

Mindfulness & Yoga

Language Camp

Our yoga class is specifically designed for children aged 3 to 5 years old. It aims to stimulate their interest in yoga through combining age-appropriate yoga postures and mindfulness practice with music,games, props, etc. It also helps to develop children’s balance, strength and body coordination; enhance concentration; learn to perceive their body in a calm state and to understand their emotions, so as to

improve the healthy development of children’s body, mind and spirit. This course will be taught in Putonghua by the Pre-School teachers.

The 3-hour language camp engages young learners through one main story each week. From learning the story plot and characters, to setting the scene and making props, young learners practice enacting a story, as well as suggesting different endings using their creativity! This camp fully immerses young learners in the language of their choice - either Putonghua or English. There will also be daily physical "challenges", team games and snack time to ensure there is a balance of active and quiet activities. This program will be taught by the Pre-School Teachers.

Our music course is based on the “Orff Teaching” . Interesting fairy tales are combined with basic elements of music to link music, literature, drawing, dance, drama and art altogether. Children can explore their potential and find their own stage. They can also learn to cooperate with others and build good relationships, thereby improving children's social skills. This program will be taught in

Putonghua by the Pre-School teachers.

Get ready for summer with this exciting course focusing onAsian cuisine and also picnic food! During cooking, kids can learn new skills such as mathematical skills through measuring ingredients, language skills by reading recipes, and also learn to be patient and respectful. Kids Kitchen will give your child a delicious summer! This course will be taught in English or Putonghua by the Pre-School teachers.

Science Dreamer

Happy Speech LandThis course combines tongue twisters, ancient poems and nursery rhymes with elements of music. It allows children to feel the rhythm, beat and mood of various literatures. Children will practice to express their emotions through sounds and body language. There will also be a lots of interesting sessions of breathing and vocal exercises. Children will learn to control their voice for volume and clarity. This course will be taught in Putonghua by the Pre-School teachers.

Science Dreamers aims at nurturing children’s computational thinking, perspective thinking and problem solving skills. The course includes fundamental ideas of programming – designing commands, operating mechanical toys and using parts such as connectors and axles to design and build different structures such as “Beyblade boosters” and windmills. These activities train children’s dexterity, spatial concepts and fine motor skills.

This program will be taught in Putonghua by the Pre-School teachers.

Art can help your child grow and develop not only their creativity and fine motor skills, but also problem solving, communication and self-esteem. We empower children to be creative and imaginative through creating something meaningful and developmentally appropriate. They will explore a variety of art mediums. Whether your child enjoys painting, drawing, sculpture, stamping or collage, they will find the perfect project to explore, present and communicate their ideas. This program will be taught in English by the Pre-School teachers.

The Chess Academy was founded with the dual objectives of teaching world-class, international chess strategies and skills to children and, even more importantly, building a child's character through chess. Through the process of learning chess, children will develop stronger spatial reasoning, improved attention span, better sportsmanship and higher levels of confidence. This program will be taught in English by Active Kids teachers.

Science Adventure

During these four weeks summer camp, we have a theme every week, which is represented by a different art form. Students learn different new skills on the varied materials and kids will feel happy and fun. There are quite a few genres of painting art and many masters give them the feeling of changeable and creative art when they give children appreciation for different works of art. Also encourage them to learn different styles to complete their work. This program will be taught in Putonghua by Shirley's Art teachers.

Fine Art in Mandarin

Science camp: Gizmos Gadgets and GoopsOver the course of Gizmos, Gadgets and Goops, the students will dive into the world of physics and discover that when energy changes from one form to another it makes things happen; it creates forces. From heat to electricity to motion, the children will look at energy changes and how various inventors started with simple science to create some amazing products. This program will be taught in Englishby Active Kids teachers.
