ES AND SUF-FIXES

PRE-FIXA pre-fix is a grouping of letters that are added to the

beginning of a word to change the meaning of the root word.

ROOT WORD A root word is a basic word without a pre-fix.Think of it as a root is the beginning of the tree and the limbs

and leaves are the pre-fix and suf-fix.

SUF-FIXA suffix is a grouping of letters that we add to the end of the

root word and could change the meaning of the word.
