2.0 ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN

2.1.1 AIR POLLUTION CONTROL

���� Water sprinkling will be done to reduce generation of dust.

���� Plantation will be developed on the STP AREAboundary.

���� Periodical water spraying on the roads will be done.

2.1.2 WATER MANAGEMENT

���� There is no surface water body in and around the STP area.

���� The rain water collected in mining pit will be diverted in the abandoned

existing pits around the area and used in spraying.

���� Domestic waste water generated from office toilet will be disposed in

soak pits via septic tank.

2.1.3 NOISE POLLUTION CONTROL

���� Approach roads within the premises of brick kiln area and STP area will

be stabilized with brick bats/keri etc.

���� The whole process is manual thus noise pollution will remain in

permissible limit.

2.1.4 LAND RECLAMATION

���� Total STP area is 2.6684 hectares.

���� At the end of life of STP, total excavated area will be used for agriculture

& farming.

2.1.5 SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT

���� There will be no solid waste generated due to Brick Earth mining.

2.1.6 GREEN BELT DEVELOPMENT

���� Plantation will be developed on the STP boundary.

3.0 INTRODUCTION OF THE PROJECT/ BACKGROUND INFORMATION

M/s. Jai Maa Pitambra Bricks Field (JP), has proposed Brick Earth

Mining project production capacity 12600 TPA near Village – Nanapura,

Tehsil -Saipau, District –Dholpur (Raj.)

(i) Identification of Project and Project Proponent

Proposal of new STP mining project for which STP has been issued

in favour of M/s. Jai Maa Pitambra Bricks Field.

(ii) Brief Description of the Nature of Project

This is an opencast mining project. Environmental Clearance is

required from MoEF. As per MoEF Office Memorandum No. J-

13012/12/2013-IA-II (I) dated 24.12.2013 the project

comes under B2 Category.

(iii) Need for the Project & Its Importance to the Country/ Region

Bricks will used in construction activities and will be sold to

nearby markets to fulfill the requirements of the local people.

(iv) Export Possibility

There is no export possibility as these mineral is quite cheap and

locally available in abundance and used in rural areas.

(v) Domestic/Export Markets

These minerals have only domestic market and will fulfill the

requirement of local. The brick may also be supplied to nearby

local market.

(vi) Employment Generation (Direct and Indirect) due to the

Project

The approx 26 skilled and semiskilled manpower needed to run

the mine

4.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION

(i) Type of Project Including Interlinked And Independent Projects, If

Any

There is no interlinked or interdependent project based on

manufacturing of bricks. The bricks will be sold directly.

No alternative site has been taken into consideration due to availability

of mineral resources in the area.

(iv) Size and magnitude of operation

Brick Earth STP Mining Project 12600 TPA at near Village – Nanapura,

Tehsil -Saipau, District –Dholpur (Raj.)

(2) Method of Mining

The mining excavation of brick earth is by manual opencast

method. The mining process will include the mining, moulding &

shifting of the brick. The brick earth will be dug and dumped in

the form of embrackment at spacing of 6 meter where water will

be mixed in the clay and suitable brick shape mould is prepared,

brick casted, dryed and stored for firing in the brick kiln.

Transportation will do with the help of trolley & tractor trolley.

(3) LOADING & TRANSPORT

The transport of brick will be done by trolley & tractor trolley.

(4) WASTE GENERATION & DISPOSAL

There will be no waste generated in Brick Earth mining.

(5) CONCEPTUAL PLAN

At the end of life of mine STP area will be convert in to agriculture &

farming, plantation will be done on STP boundry.

(vi) Raw Material Required Along With Estimated Quantity, Likely

Source, Marketing Area of Final Products, Mode of Transport

of Raw Material and Finished Product

This is an Brick Earth STP mining project. The mineral will be used

for bricks manufacturing purposes. No raw material will be

required to dependent industries.

(vii) Resources Optimization/ Recycling and Reuse Envisaged in

the Project, if any, should be briefly Outlined

� No waste water will be generated from mining operation

� Domestic sewage water generated from office toilet will be

disposed in soak pits via septic tank.

(viii) Availability of Water Its Source, Energy /Power Requirement

and Source

A. Water requirement:

Total water requirement for the proposed project will be

10 KLD which will be source portable water (tube well &

dug well ) is available at S.T.P area site which will fulfill the

water requirement.

B. Power requirement:

The electric power will not be used in the process of

mining.

(ix) Quantity of Waste to Be Generated (Liquid and Solid) And

Scheme for Their Management/Disposal:

Domestic sewage water generated from office toilet will be

disposed in soak pits via septic tank.

The lease area is about 1 km. from Nandpura. Dispensary, hospital and

educational facilities are available in Nandpura. Railway station is

available in Dholpur which is at a distance of 17 km.

(iv) Existing Infrastructure:

There is no building & structure within STP area except some

vegetations existing on the lease area which will be cleared when

required. Total lease area is private land.

The lease area is about 1 km. from Nandpura. Dispensary, hospital and

educational facilities are available in Nandpura. Railway station is

available in Dholpur which is at a distance of 17 km.

6.0 PLANNING BRIEF

(i) Planning Concept (Type of Industries, Facilities, and

Transportation etc.) Town and Country Planning/Development

Authority Classification

Uses : This is a mining Project

(ii) Population Projection

Manpower required will be engaged from nearby areas. No significant

influx of people is anticipated in the area.

(iii) Land Use Planning

The STP area is 2.6684 ha. which is a Private land. At the end of life of

STP , total excavated area will be used for agriculture/farming.

(iv) Assessment of Infrastructure Demand (Physical & Social)

Project proponent will assess the demand of infrastructure (Physical &

Social) in nearby area of the mine site and same will be developed under

social work

(v) Amenities/Facilities

Mining Management will develop the Amenities/Facilities in the nearby

area of the mine site as per requirement of local people of the nearby

area under corporate social responsibility programs.

7.0 PROPOSED INFRASTRUCTURE

(i) Residential Area (Non Processing Area)

This is not required as mine workers will come from nearby villages.

Rest shelter to the workers will be provided outside the lease area.

Green belt will be developed on strategic area and equal to 33% of the STP

area.

(iii) Connectivity

The lease area is about 1 km. from Nandpura. Dispensary, hospital

and educational facilities are available in Nandpura. Railway station is

available in Dholpur which is at a distance of 17 km.

(iv) Water Management (Source & Supply of water)

Total water requirement for the project will be 10 KLD which will be

used from portable water (tube well & dug well ) is available at S.T.P area

site which will fulfill the water requirement.

(v) Sewerage System

Domestic sewage water generated from office toilet will be disposed

in soak pits via septic tank. Outside discharge is not envisaged.

(vi) Industrial Waste Management

No industrial waste water will be generated from this mine during

mining operation.

(vii) Solid Waste Management

No solid waste water will be generated from this mine during mining

operation.

(viii) Power Requirement & Supply/Source

Electric power will not be required in mining operations.

8.0 REHABILITATION AND RESETTLEMENT (R & R) PLAN

(i) Policy To Be Adopted (Central/State) In Respect Of The Project

Affected Persons Including Home Oustees, Land Oustees And

The mining activity will be started after obtaining Environmental

Clearance from MoEF, New Delhi and acquiring the valid STP from

Mines and Geology Department of the State Government.

(ii) Estimated Project Cost Along With Analysis In Terms Of Economic

Viability of the Project

���� Total Project Cost : Rs 20.0 Lakhs

���� Environment Protection Cost : Rs 1.0 Lakhs Per annum

10.0 ANALYSIS OF PROPOSAL

���� STP project will result in growth of the surrounding areas by increasing

direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region including

ancillary development and supporting infrastructure. Special emphasis

on Financial and Social benefits will be given to the local people

including tribal population, if any, in the area.

���� Development of social amenities will be in the form of medical facilities,

education to underprivileged and creation of self help groups.

���� No major adverse effect on environment is envisaged as the required

mitigation measures are inbuilt in the project.
