FREERequired Orientation:A required orientation is held on the first day of class at Gateway. This orientation will familiarize students with the course format, software, and expectations.

An ACCUPLACER test day will be scheduled upon successful completion of the Boot Camp. Placement tests will be scheduled in CES S205. After taking the ACCUPLACER, students will be advised into their fall class.

Who:Students placing into Math Level A - Boot Camp or Math Level B1 - Math 085 (Elementary Algebra w/Pre-Algebra) who are motivated, hard-working, and able to commit to the program.

What:Gateway is offering a Pre-Algebra (085) Math Boot Camp for students wishing to refresh their basic skills and improve their math ACCUPLACER placement test score.

Topics covered will include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, integers, fractions, and decimals. Ratios, proportions and some beginning algebra topics are also included.

Why:This is a FREE non-credit prep course that provides students with the opportunity to become familiar with the Gateway campus, refresh their Pre-Algebra skills, and build confidence.

Upon successful completion, students may retake the ACCUPLACER test and possibly place into a higher level course therefore saving TIME and MONEY. Students will also receive one-on-one advising and be registered for the appropriate math course.
