Mid-Term Exam Students will be assessed on their knowledge of concepts and theories through multiple choice, essay and problem based written exam. Term Project Groups of 5 students will be formed. Interviews with a manufacturing or a service firm in İzmir will be conducted by groups. And all topics covered during lectures should be questioned in the firm. Interviews with the firms will be organized under headings and sub-headings according to the topics that we have covered throughout the term and will be submmitted as a REPORT. Reports should not exceed 15 pages. So please DO NOT JUST write your questions and answers. The problems you observe within the firms related with our topics and your recommendations for the solution to those problems should be added to your reports.

You are not expected to make definitions in your reports. You are expected to write the findings of your interview in the report format (term project outline is provided at the end of the syllabus). If you have to use additional resources for your report, in this case, APA FORMAT SHOULD BE USED (DON’T FORGET TO GIVE REFERENCES THROUGHOUT THE TEXT WHEREVER YOU USE THE INFORMATION CREATED BY OTHERS!). You should cite publications in the text: (Porter, 2006) using the first named author's name or (Atrek and Tüzemen, 2006) citing either names of two or (Rusell et al., 2006), when there are three or more authors. At the end of the report a reference list in alphabetical order should be supplied.
